I laid quietly in the hotels bed. I don't know how to breathe anymore. My love, my life and my soulmate, dead. I wanted to curl up and leave everyone behind. But I couldn't, right?I don't know what the reason is yet, but I felt a sudden chill. She was here. She's my world, my everything. Living without her is painful.
I was going home. Not home as in where my son and I live. Home as in heaven. Right in this hotel room, I would die. I've made my choice.
Before I did anything, I had to make arrangements. I couldn't leave my son without knowing that he was fully cared for. I took over all of the money in my bank account, what little we had left, and moved it into a personal account for him. It wasn't much, but it was all I had. I also arranged my funeral, suit, and everything, all from my hotel room. Now, it was time to do the physical damage.
I grabbed a bottle of Advil, a medication that I was already allergic to, and poured the whole bottle into my hands. I took a breath before almost pouring the posion into my mouth. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. I put the pills down, and walked to the door slowly. As I opened it, I noticed a ring.
"Jason, is that you...?"
"Matilda?" I stared at her, eyes wide.
"Hi.." She gasped, scratching her head.
"What are you doing here?"
"I'm here because I heard you were here.. I haven't seen you in years! How ya been!?" She smiled. I caught my breath.
"Um, hold on a sec." I mumbled before shutting the door slightly. How the hell did she know I was here.
I threw my pills in the garbage, and opened the door again.
"I was kinda busy."
Matilda's POV

"I was kinda busy," Jason grumbled.
"Sorry. Come back later?" I asked, not really wanting to leave.
"No, no..!" he said frantically.
"Oh. Good." He smurked.
"Come in."
I nodded, and walked into the room. It was really cold and depressing. I looked around, and zoned out for a second, then I heard him say, "It is messy. Sorry." The guy at the desk was telling everyone to be aware of him. Some asked for more detail and his name became known. That's when it hit me.
"It's fine. Sorry for being Adele and coming out of the blue uninvited."
He laughed so hard at that.

Jason's POV
*************
I ended up going home anyhow. Me and Matilda talked all night. She made me smile like I hadn't done in weeks. Emma had been in the hospital for ages. For almost a week, she had been there. She began to throw up blood just days ago. And she was dead. Matilda kind of helped me overcome my "wanting to be dead." But, I wasn't done yet.
When I got home, I got the third degree. My parents were asking me all types of questions, like I was a teenage boy again. After, like, hours of interagation, they finally let me off the hook. I went into my sons room, and grabbed him slowly. He curled into my arms, and I cuddled him for a moment. Out of nowhere, he said, "Mommy...mommy?"
I pushed him aside so that I could get a better view of his face. "Son, mommy loved you. But mommy is no longer here. She's in heaven..." He gave me a look filled with question, but I continue anyhow. "It was her time. That's not something that I, or anyone, can control."
He shook his head and laid down quietly. I stroked his head for a while. As soon as I was about to exit the room, his sat up right in his bed and said, "Daddy, no go?"
At that point, there was no way of stopping and controlling my tears as I broke down. Then and there, my spirit was broken. I have to stay here. For him. For him.
"No, son. Not anytime soon." And with that, I left. Behind the closed door, I mumbled "Because I love you."
