Someone Strong Beside Me

It had been two years since her youngest brother David had left home to be with his mate Sabrina. Now having no siblings at home and her parents having been killed by hunters she sat back to relax. Lately, she had been hurting in her back. But she thought nothing of it. Closing her eyes she relaxed her muscles and allowed her mind to drift.

Several hours later she was startled awake when a pounding on her front brought her out of a deep sleep. Sighing she stood and was heading heading towards when an agonizing jolt pain shot through her back into her legs. Crying as her legs gave out she said, " help!"

Tears sprang to her eyes jist her front door shatter and splintered into a million little pieces. She heard a gasp and then her close friend yell out "Tell the hospital the have someone coming in." Frowning she tried weakly to ward of the sudden hands that were gently picking her evaded her weakened attempts.

Her wolf Sienna said "please Zhy allow a doctor to help you. You have no one else. I want to find our mate."

Frowning she though to her wolf "why? No one wants damaged goods like me. I am worthless"

Thick tears sprang to her eyes. She knew no one would want her. Hell, she was damaged goods. Yes she could transition into her wolf but she had severe health issues. She had seen how the men of her pack looked at her. Everyone in Twilight Lightening looked at with pity.

Sienna sighed. Of course her human counterpart would be stubborn. The fact she felt sorry for Zhy' Realiah didn't help things

As Jaxon carried his dearest friend the pack hospital he frowned deeply. He had know that she had been dealing with pain. But she had never told him the severity. Now he was getting a small inkling. Being the Beta of Twilight Lightening meant that he needed to keep an eye on his pack members. Their Alpha Matthew Granger was stickler when it came to making sure that the pack members were taken care of. Sighing he looked down at his best friend and asked "why did you let the pain get this bad Zhy? Why"

Zhy' Realiah whimpered and replied "I am scared." Indeed she was very scared. The pain gradually been getting worse and now there times where ever moving to roll over at sent her in hyperventilation land.
