Untitled Part 1

The trees rustled with the wind, making an orchestra of leaves.
Or maybe that was just the wildlife.
You could never really tell.
One moment, you're in dead silence, and the next you're running from a monster.
Some say that a nuclear bomb diseased this place, changing and tweaking the wildlife, killing off the rest
who couldn't take the change.
Other with different opinions believe a magick surrounds this place, bathing it with mystery.
I don't beleive either of them, after the war ban. Everything just shut down, desending into the world I know today.
So I walk with Jeremy, his large paws steps and panting filling the void that the deafining silence was making.
Putting my torch in my left hand, while tucking my tired right hand in my ashy grey-orange hoodie.
I stop and focus all my attention at the whole of the forest that surrounds me a second time since first entering here, Jeremy stops too and looks at me.
The trees were like tall, lean citizens of the forest, the lowest branches far above my field of vision.
They seem to be looking down at me in disgust.
I heard from a whispher of a tale that we once used to hack, chop and cut them down like a olden time cow eating grass,
but that stopped, like everything else.
I think the war ban got them I guess.
Turning around, I started to walk again, deeper into mystery, gesturing Jeremy to stay by my side.
Not like I was scared, I just wanted him there for company.
Or I would of gone insane from all the silence. But I dont think about that for long because I walk into something I didn't know existed in this forest.
For the first time in the whole trip, the path I was currently on spilt into two. What was the weirdest part was that the paths cut off from each other creating such
a sharp T shape that I didn't know nature could make.
Debating whether to go left of right I didn't notice when Jeremy walked ahead and picked the left trail.
I snapped out of my trance when Jeremy barked at me as if to tell me to hurry up.
Shaking my head and holding my firey torch up higher, I ran ahead to cath up with Jeremy.
I wish that back then I had noticed the swish of fabric and flash of red behind me.
