Chapter 1
-Marinette -July 21st...
I watched as birds flirted with the wind, passing by the street light posts, swirling around the shop signs. I sat on my pink and white striped beach chair.. The sun gleamed on my porcelain skin. Bee's zipped around my rose planter, collecting pollen, rubbing it on their fluffy abdomens. I deeply took a breath, the summer breeze brushed up through every hair follicle, causing my cosmic blue hair to misbehave and intertwine itself into its neighboring hair strands. My eyes slowly shut, my sunglasses, of which I designed myself, shielded the sun from burning the super-thin sheet of skin over my eyes.. Although my eyes were shut, I could still see red remaining from the brightness.
I started to doze off as wind chimes played beautiful melodies. People laughing and enjoying each other's company. I smiled as people playfully shrieked as the water got splashed on them by their significant other. The smile slowly faded as I thought about my chances with Adrien before I heard a thump on the wood of my balcony. I quickly sat up, pushing my sunglasses off of my nose. I raised my hand above my eyebrows, my left hand remained on the seat, keeping my torso planted.
"Sorry to wake you." A chuckle lingered after the apology.
I blinked a couple of times before I could see the frame emerging from the sun beams. I sighed jokingly before a small smile forced itself on my lips.
"Hey.."
I said pushing myself further back on my chair, so I could sit back and be in the shade."It's pretty hot out here if I do say so myself."
chat said waving his hands in front of his face, pushing a breeze onto his cheeks"Hmm.. Maybe it's because you are wearing all black."
I said sarcastically, a chuckle released from my lungs. I inhaled sharply as I reached for a foldable chair underneath my beach chair.
"Here.. Sit here, you have to unfold it though." I smiled sarcastically. I watched his smile turn into a groan"Uuuugh.." he slowly walked up to me, lifting the chair off the wood, as he unfolded it and placed it to my left.
"Thanks." He looked at me smiling as he leaned back.
"Soo.. Any luck with your crush on ladybug?" I said remembering how he told me he liked her (me) a while back, while school was still in.
He looked at me for a couple of seconds before looking at the building directly in front of us.
"Yeah, I um.. I just gave up," he said as his smile faded into an emotionless canvas. I looked at his eyes that stood out from the black mask.
"O-oh.." I said slightly stuttering as I tried to hide my disapointment
"How's it going with Adrien?" he said trying to hide his smile while I wasn't looking.
"I gave up as well. I just couldn't take beating around the bush anymore." I said as I awkwardly forced a saddened smile on my face. I looked at him and saw him frowning slightly. I looked back at the landscape. Observing the sunset, pigeons fluttered around the trees.
Chat and I talked for a while. We shared some laughs and deep conversations. I enjoyed talking to him, he was kind, and annoyingly flirtatious as always. But eventually, he had to leave. He looked at me with a tender expression.
"Well, M'lady, I must be on my way, the sun is completely out of sight, and my da- family is probably waiting for me to return for dinner"
I frowned at what he said. "Okay.." I said holding my hands behind my back, glancing at the floor. Before he lifted my chin with his index finger.
"I'll come back tomorrow." He said removing his finger off my chin, smiling before his departure. He whipped out his metal rod, pushing himself off of the balcony, leaping off of rooftops onto another.
Tiki emerged from her hiding spot, hoovering above my right shoulder, watching chat disappear in the moonlit topography, I looked over at Tiki softly, she smiled at me, her small cheeks turning pinker from her happiness.
"Well, what makes you so happy?" I chuckled before grasping my dresser handles, pulling out some clothes as Tiki responded.
"Nothing.. Just you admiring Chat Noir makes me laugh a bit." she giggled I sighed shaking myself as I stepped out of my jeans, pulling on some pajama pants, before placing my shirt over my head, slipping my arms through the sleeves. I flew back onto my bed. I inhaled sharply before giggling sightly and rolled on my side covering my face with a pillow.
