Electric Dandelions
Chapter 2

The sun gleamed on my face as morning appeared amongst the horizon. My eyes slowly pried themselves open, as they watered, they sparkled and lit up into a dark purple or blue tone. I blinked once or twice before I pushed my face off of my mattress; My neck aching from sleeping without a pillow to support it.

I observed the sunlit room as a gentle yawn pried open my jaw. My nose curled, eyes squinting and watering, as the yawn slowly faded. I rubbed the tears off my eye before stretching my shoulder blades.

My face quickly Pivoted to the sound of my phone abruptly vibrated and rung. I groaned as the sound shuddered my skull. I swiped to the right, turning off the alarm. I got ready for school, before realizing 30 minutes later I was late. I searched around my room frantically for my backpack.

"Mom?! WHERE IS MY BAG?!" I asked before my mom suggested a few people before I finally found it swiped under my bed. I quickly ran down my trap door Before slamming the bakery door open before even telling my parents goodbye.

A  couple of minutes after running down the block, I reached the school premises. I pulled on the door as it rattled.

"Why is it locked?!" I angrily snorted as I pulled on the door. I heard footsteps behind me so I turned around.

"School isn't in anymore, love." He said with a grin on his face.

"W-" I said as my mind rushed with thoughts.
"Are you KIDDING me?" I groaned as I slapped my face in the palms of my hands. I Was Embarrassed. I was late AND I forgot school wasn't in. He chuckled a bit before chat took a seat on the concrete. His left leg was bent, his foot under his right knee. His hands here placed behind him, propping up his body. I looked at his body as the sun made his features pop. It was like a magical explosion of beauty. I blinked a couple of times after realizing he noticed I was staring. A grin plastered on his face.

"Well how about let's make use of you readying up this morning?" he said inviting me a seat beside him. I awkwardly laughed before sitting next to him. I brushed my baby hair out of my face. I forgot a few pieces this morning whilst I was putting my hair up.

"This view isn't very satisfying," I said as we looked at the school building. I looked at it almost every day while school was in. Not to mention the terrible people in there, specifically Chloe.

He glanced at me before looking back at the school with the HUGEST grin on his face.
"Well, would you prefer to stare at me all day?" HE chuckled softly.

Yes.. I said in my head as I thought about it. His body was simply perfect. But he would noti-

"I was only kidding.. Purrhaps you would like to go someplace else?" He smiled thinking the pun would impress me. I rolled my eyes before pushing my jaw to the left quickly before I grazed the bottom of my teeth with my tongue. Before I could say anything he got up and reached out his hand.

The left side of his face was illuminated my the sun, his green eye appeared lighter than the right one because of the way the sun hit it. The bell on his chest dinged a little bit as I reached out my hand, allowing him to help me up.

We strolled around the city, admiring the beauty. We watched butterflies twirl their wings, flashing us with their beautiful vibrant colors. Chat's smile was so perfect. I couldn't help but admire him. But I remembered he lost feelings for me, Ladybug. Sadness overruled the beauty of the lights on the Eiffel tower. My eyes slowly teared up

He glanced at me and noticed how I was feeling. It seemed like he was getting a bit awkward because I never really show my emotions with him.

"Marinette?" he said as he grabbed my shoulders making me look at him. I looked down trying to hide my face but he pulled my face up with both his hands.

"What's wrong?" he said as his expression tensed.

"I-" I stuttered trying to think of a lie.
"It's just been a long day," I said looking at him and back at his chest. He hugged me for it, it felt like forever. I hid my small sobs before I reached up swiping a tear from under my eye. He removed his left arm from off me and slowly walked me home, his left arm guiding me.

After 30 eternal minutes of quietness, we finally reached home. He held me in his arms, bridal style as he jumped onto my balcony. He gently put me back on my feet, handing me a yellow flower. I smiled softly.

"Where'd this come from?" I said my eyes still gloomy, my voice cracking.

"Me." he said as he whipped tears from both my eyes, both hands on my cheeks. I looked down trying to avoid eye contact.

"I'll see you later princess," he told me softly before slowly pulling his hands off of my face.

"Wait..." I said slowly. I looked at him as he turned his head back slightly to the left. He took a few steps toward me before quickly planting a kiss on my forehead but left straight after.
I watched him leave, I felt my face turning bright red. I slowly made my way back to my room. I felt my brain spark. Like watered-down electrical cords. I looked at the flower, observing its shape.. A dandelion.. I said smiling. An Electric Dandelion.
