The Boy Who Cried "Wolf"

Chapter 6

3rd person P.O.V.

They finally headed back to Monstadt.

Razor and Bennett were going to meet back up and start a campfire just to get one more sense of nature before they return to their normal lives even though they promised to see each other everyday.

Bennett gave Razor a kiss before he headed back to the city. He never really liked staying in the city, that was partly the reason he started to adventure so much. The town would consider him "good-looking" and always try to hook him up with dates, with women. They always said they "didn't want him to stay alone" yet they were the same people who left him because of his luck. Now he had Razor and he was ready to spend all the time in the world with him.

But

he was so afraid of taking the relationship to Monstadt. He was so scared. He wasn't concerned at Liyue Harbor because they were known for being nice and accepting. Everyone would for sure judge them, Razor was already beat for just being alive. Everyone avoided Bennett, this was probably worse than that one town. They couldn't just stay in the wilderness and neither of them would every be able to adjust to the other's living conditions.

Bennett went to "Good Hunter" to get some to go meat skewers for Razor.

"I think that's him"

"Yeah the rumors spread very quickly"

"Him and wolf boy? Really?"

"He deserved it"

"I bet that's why he always rejected dates some commoners would try to put him up with"

"You think he's ever been with a proper woman?"

"He's just in denial"

"I say 3,000,000 Mora they won't last 2 fortnights"

"Maybe we can change him"

"They should've finished the job"

"Good thing I avoided him"

"Children shouldn't know about this or him"

Bennett just wanted meat skewers. He barely went 10 meters into town and already heard that much. So he just left the town.

He didn't feel any emotion, no sadness, no anger, no confusion.

He just wanted to see Razor.

Razor went to his pack.

"Where were you?" A black wolf asked.

"Adventure, with. Bennett." He said.

"We heard the rumors, *He* wants to see you."

"Okay." Razor said walking off to see *Him*

"Razor." A stern voice said walking out a cave.

"Yes." Razor stiffened up.

"We heard what happened in the town. I was always iffy about you but this breaks the line."

"Line?"

"Dating another boy? Are you serious? You already tainted the pack enough, with your humanness, but this is unacceptable."

"But....I love...him." Razor said forming the words.

"Love is a crazy thing, perhaps you've never been in love with him since the beginning." The wolf said walking behind Razor.

Razor felt a chill up his spine.

"I know." He said not facing the wolf, "I know...I love him."

"Then leave." The wolf said, "the pack never loved you or wanted you from the beginning, you don't belong here and you never have, pups can be better to the pack than you, stop forcing yourself to think you belong here."

"Lupical." Razor managed to spit out.

"Not. Anymore." The wolf said very close to Razor's face.

"Out of my territory before I make you get out." The wolf said going back into it's cave.

Razor slowly walked out of Wolvendom. And left without saying a word to the pack.

They accidentally met up right outside Monstadt.

"Bennett." Razor said running up to him.

"Razor." Bennett replied getting ready to accept the jump hug.

They both cried into each others shoulders.

"Lupical...abandoned me." Razor managed to get out.

"It'll be okay, we'll always have each other." Bennett said.

"Never leave me." Razor said looking at Bennett's teary eyes.

"Never." Bennett passionately kissed him.

They held onto each others waist and it started to rain.

Razor took off his coat and put it on Bennett.

"Thanks. But won't you be cold?"

"No, just fine."

"Maybe we should just go off into a cabin and go off the grid" Bennett smiled.

"Don't mind." Razor responded

"Maybe we can go back to Monstadt tomorrow, the rumors are always like that, i assure you they won't care by tomorrow." Bennett said.

Razor simply nodded.

They sat down under a cliff ledge, they were on Stormbearer mountains so they were safe there.

It was only the afternoon so they had the rest of the day to spare, they decided to hunt and get some practice in so they cleared a few hillichurl camps and 3 abyss mages.
