𝓘t was in the middle of the night, nearing to the point where it was borderline the early morning where the clock would strike one a.m. Jungkook had just tucked himself into his bed, resting under the warm blankets that he draped over onto his body as he slept soundly in a peaceful slumber while gently turning in his bed.

It had been a long day for him before he had gone to his safe space. His assignments from his teachers were getting to him lately, perhaps it was because the school year was ending quite soon that made them suddenly feel the need to just bombard their students with more work.

Was that even allowed? It felt like they were just trying to set him up for failure on purpose.

Whatever. He'll just deal with reality in the morning right? he just wanted to have a peaceful rest while recharging himself before continuing with whatever he had to take care of in his work in the early morning before he would go off to school.

Exhaling slowly through his nose, he let his body slowly go more numb through each breath he released— his mind slowly slipping into an unconscious state, letting him move into his headspace to begin his dream.

The dream started with him sitting calmly by a beach. It was interesting to him how vivid and realistic the dream was around him this time, it felt as if he was seeing and feeling the things around him like he was there.

The smell of the salty water, the smooth breeze going along his honey skin, and the blinding light that was the sun that began to set in front of his eyes.

He took in a deep breath, letting the almost salty air fill his lungs.

Was he supposed to have his senses open in a dream like this? It wasn't like he cared though. This was the most at ease he's felt in a while, he'd be a fool if he didn't cherish it while it lasted.

He looked down below him, noticing a blanket was draped on his place to avoid sand getting into his clothes.

Jungkook closed his eyes gently, when he began to lean backward to fall into the blanket, he expected to feel the sand underneath the soft material of the blanket under him. He had originally planned to let the warmth of the sun dance on his skin as he looked up at the sky.

However, his head had landed onto a plush pillow instead, taking him by surprise. He didn't remember seeing a pillow when he looked at the blue and floral—like a blanket.

His eyebrows furrowed, yet he flinched instantly at the feeling of a smooth hand drape over his eyes to block his vision. His heart began to race, what was happening? did someone sneak into his home? Why didn't his dog wake him up by barking? His dog always slept in the same room as he did.

He wanted to jump out of bed to see who it was that made him panic, but he couldn't seem to move either. It was as if his limbs felt like they were being pushed down by some force— as if someone put something heavy around his ankles and wrists to keep him down.
