billie never knew vega, until about a year ago. she didn't even know someone could have such a unique name.

vega.

she knew from her astronomy knowledge that vega was a star. its the brightest star in the northern constellation of lyra, located about 25 light-years from earth.

but that's all she knew.

not that much.

but vega was way more important and much more interesting than a singular star in the sky.

there are more stars in the sky than grains of sand on the earth, did you know that?

you probably did.

billie wasn't one to boast about her academic abilities, but they were certainly there. she knew these random facts that most people would be weirded out by.

but not vega.

vega loved billie, she knew that she wasn't perfect, probably far from it, but she loved her for her.

no matter what.

nobody else seemed to be fond of vega, billie thought.

not even her closest friends,

they haven't even met the girl.

people thought billie was crazy, her list of mental illnesses didn't help the constant stares she had thrown at her.

she didn't seem to mind, to the naked eye.

but vega always knew when something was up. billie wasn't exactly an open book, but vega could see right through her...

was it a good or bad thing?

who knows?

billie usually kept to herself, not wanting people to find out her deepest darkest secrets and to inevitably use them against her; she hated blackmail.

she would never wish it upon her worse enemy.

she had few enemies, she was never the confrontational type, but you wouldn't want to see her when she gets angry.

her behavioural issues were probably seen as more of a problem than her mental ones and she didn't care at all, let them think all sorts, only she knew the truth, and to call her dangerous was an understatement.

vega knew billie was trouble.

billie knew vega was trouble.

despite knowing this, they were as close as ever, never spending longer than a couple of days apart.

for they had grown so fond of each other in such a short period, anything could go wrong. but they knew that that wouldn't change anything at all.

they were inseparable, nothing could keep them apart.

nothing.
