"Is everyone okay?" you hear a familiar voice say as the blackness begins to fade and the floral print of Sammy's shirt fills your vision, you must have bumped into her during the crash. You quickly unbuckle yourself
"is everyone?.." Yasmina laughs bitterly getting out of the van slamming the door behind her "Yaz, wait!" Sammy calls. You step over Bumpy as Sammy follows you out of the van to run after Yasmina.

You walk around the side of the van and press your back against it letting yourself slide down onto the grass. You look up hearing the following pained groans of Kenji and Darius, you look to your right to see Brooklynn stepping away from Ben to listen in on Yasmina and Sammys arguing "We're not okay!" Yasmina shouts "Yaz-" Sammy begins but Yasmina cuts her off "We're in the middle of a jungle with a monster dinosaur out there! and you!.." Yasmina says grasping for what to say until full betrayal boils her, she turns to face Sammy with a deathly glare "you..." "Destroyed our only way to get help and lied about it! I told you guys!" Brooklynn shouts.

"So you did take Brooklynn's phone? Why? What were you doing?" Darius asks stepping beside Brooklynn "Probably trying to erase my video of her taking those samples from the Sinoceratops!" Brooklynn says pulling out her broken phone, she begins walking towards Sammy continuing to press the girl "You knew about the Indominous Rex because you were snooping around Dr.Wu's office when i ran into you." Brooklynn continues "I knew it!" she says stomping her foot pointing the phone at Sammy accusingly
'but she did.'

"I didn't mean to destroy the phone. I fell on it when the zipline came down and-" Sammy begins "But you did steal it?" Ben asks cutting her off, you look over at Ben who moved to sit next to you "You had it the whole time and didn't tell us?" he asks. You look back up at Sammy who is at a loss for words "Hold up." Darius says stepping forward "what were you doing in Dr.Wu's office Brooklynn?" Darius asks "i-..i-it- doesn't matter!" Brooklynn snaps.
'oh yeah. all that matters is that she's right so no time to focus on her own fuck up, Poor B.'

You begin to tear up
"I didn't break our only way to call for help then lie about it!" Brooklynn shouts.
'what's wrong with me?'
you huff annoyed with your own emotional action. It tares you, your first camp friend lying about Everything, you know others don't see it that way, to them she just lied about that stupid phone,
'she didn't patronize them by pretending to be their friend.'

By this point the flood of tears is unstoppable, all you can do is sob and you feel like a fool. "This is not My fault! This is her fault!" Brooklynn screams. You try desperately to dry your tears looking down as you feel Bumpy nudging your side. You look up at Ben as he whispers "are you okay?" but before you have time to reply Sammy blurts "Im here to spy!" everyone looks towards her, all the group silencing accept for you.

You quietly slip around to the other side of the van to get space from the rest of the campers. You can still hear the conversation as it continues,"For a company called Mantah Corp." Sammy confesses. "Mantah Corp?" Darius questions "They're a bioengineering company, big rivals with Masrani and Biosyn." he explains "They tried to make dinosaurs, too, But Wu beat them to it."

"You doomed us all for some lousy company!?" Ben asks "Our ranch was in trouble, So my folks had to borrow a lot of money from some shady people. We didn't know they were fronting for Mantah Corp. They said we'd loose everything unless i spied for them. Used the 'behind the scenes' access i'd get at camp to gather info from Wu's lab, DNA from dinos, and whatever else they needed. But then Brooklynn caught on and I got scared and Everything went wrong.." Sammy explains.

Sammy pauses before speaking again "This is the last thing i wanted to happen" she says, Yasmina scoffs "Oh. To be next to a broken van on a Killer Dinosaur Island? Hey, me, too! What are the odds?" Yasmina hisses with sarcasm "Yaz i-" Sammy begins "..was it all a lie, wanting to be friends? Pretending you cared about...You just needed someone to hide what you were doing. Tell me im wrong?" Yasmina finishes.
