Two figures were seen in the middle of the field full of glaze lilies. The two were talking and laughing as they bathe in the golden light making the scenery look even more beautiful than it was.

That is the sight you will surely see from a far. But from where I was standing, you will see a young maiden peeking from a tree.

"Y/N," I called, she whipped her head upon hearing my call. There stood the powerful Goddess who picked a certain Archon over Celestia, looking at me with her eyes full of sadness and unshed tears.

I forced a smile as I waved the liqour I bought from my city, Monstandt.

Shock was evident to her face as she exclaimed, "Oh dear, Barbatos!" Hand flying towards her mouth.

"Hehe, now let's go to the Starsnatch Cliff!" I flashed another smile and took a hold of her wrist to drag her to the said place.

In a split second, the two of us were already standing on the cliff. I immediately sat down and placed the bottles in between us while humming to the whispers of the wind.

Satisfied with the placement of the bottles, I looked up towards the rising sun and smile.

"The sun is rising," She commented and I hummed in reply.

I took two bottles and opened them both before offering her one, "Here! Drink up!" She first looked at it with a very wary expression before taking it in with her hands.

I giggled, "Oh come on! It tastes fine! Now drink up!" I said as I look at her expectantly.

Her first drink was just the beginning of our conversation that day. We drank all of the bottles that I bought as we chatted away while watching the sun rise up.

Her laugh and smile that day, the way her eyes reflected the world in front of us was very breathtaking that the image of it was instilled in my mind up to this very day.

"Guizhong!" I heard a certain voice shouted as I aimed my arrow at the enemies. They can't seem to stop coming from a certain direction.

I flew higher to observe when I heard a small sound, my gaze roam around and saw a certain god with an arrow pierced right through her left chest. Blood pouring out from her mouth and wounds.

Bleeding and hurting, but it seems that she is bleeding and hurting even more because of the sight in front of her. Right in front of her were the two figures she was peeking at before.

Guizhong, who was bleeding to death with a lifeless eyes, is in the arms of Morax, who was weeping in sadness as he hugged the lifeless god who ruled with him.

Then a sweet and ever so gentle voice came through my mind, "When will it be me?"

"I was there for him even before she arrived, I worked with him too! Why not me?" She wiped her tears and sobbed.

It was a memory of her from when we drank and watched the sun rise. I remember how she poured out all her agony and pain. She was hurting.

"I chose him over everything and he knows it... so why is not me?" She whispered to the wind as more tears fell.

A tear fell, followed by another.

I watched as she cried her heart out silently, eyes closing as tears fell non-stop. I watched as I realized that the eyes that reflected the world will never open again.

Everything suddenly vanished from my sight and all I could hear was her cries from that day.

I dangled my feet as I watch the stars slowly makes it appearance in the sky. It has been exactly 2000 years ago since the last time I saw the eyes which reflected the world.

This day has been the most peaceful day of the week that I even bought a bunch of Dandelion Wines to drink. To think that it has been so long since I had a drink with my drinking buddy, "Oh Y/N!" I started, "Till when will you make me wait for your return.."

In the past 2000 years, not even once did she live again. The wind has been dull ever since her departure. I even tried to roam around Teyvat just to find the very interesting wind. Monstandt, Inazuma, Natlan, Sumeru, Fontaine, Snezhnaya, and even the land she once ruled over, Liyue.

I sighed as I gaze upon the ever so shining stars in the sky.

"Uh.." I sniffed as I drank the remaining content of the bottle.

The wind flew so freely in the air, dancing the fallen leaves to their joy. And just then, came a very familiar scent.

I whipped my head to every directions I could to find where it came from.

The scent that the wind brought is very sweet and calming, just like her.

"Y/N.." I muttered then smiled.

I immediately stood up and started my adventure. The scent lead me towards the Thousand Winds Temple, the ruin guard there wasn't a bother at all.

I wandered a bit more, then came the sight of the Windrise. Its field was very huge so I decided to make a run for it. After all, I needed to heal for a bit too.

As I came closer to the Statue of the Seven, there I saw a lady laying beside the tree.

"..Y-Y/N? ," please, let it be you..

I slowly walked towards the lady and began to recognize its features. She was wearing a familiar white dress and her feet are bare, her brown hair were sprawled on the grass and some of the strands covered a bit of her face.

"U-Uhm... hello?" I tried to peek as much as I can but froze as I saw a bit of her face.

"Y/N.."

The lady started to move and groan at the same time while I was just there standing, frozen in place. "Hmm.. ugh, what?" She sat up and stretched her arms and legs out as she yawned.

"You–" I stopped as her whole face came in sight, "You're Y/N, right?"

Her brows furrowed at the question before gazing into the air. Silence covered us as she kept squinting her eyes before opening her mouth to speak, "I guess so."

She then shooked her head before looking at me, "But wait.. how did you know my name, kid?"

Kid!? Wha—

"Who are you? And where am i anyway?" She doesn't remember anything at all, huh.

"I'm Venti the Bard! I came from Mondstandt, right there!" I said before pointing the highwall of the said City, "Also this place is called Windrise," then I smiled.

"Venti? A Bard? Mondstandt?" After a few seconds, silence enveloped us as she gazed into thin air again.

".. Barbatos.." I flinched then looked at her with wide eyes. Did she remember?

"Barbatos... Do you know anyone who's name is Barbatos?" She looked up at me as she asked the question.

That's when I gave her the sweetest and widest smile I could ever done.

"Yeah, Barbatos is the Anemo Archon and a friend of yours, Y/N," I said.

After all, you may not remember me but the moments we shared together will forever be carried by my wind and soar upon the sky.

That way, I will always be a friend..
