The day ended quickly and I was really exhausted I just wanted to throw myself on the bed and rest. I wasn't only tired of exhaustion I was tired of my life, but mommy always told me "life was a precious gift, life wasn't always gonna be a day at the beach." I treasured those words. But life just felt like a rainy day, every single day.
I walked home slowly, I was limping and I could barely hold myself up, I felt like I wanna gonna black out. But if I got home late and didn't do the chores , daddy was just gonna hit me again. I picked up the pace as I lost my breath.
I finally made it home, it was 3:30 and daddy was gonna come soon so I did what I've been told to do. I cooked, cleaned, did things that my mommy would've done.... I miss my mommy so much. I started to cry on my knees with the pain in my chest.
"Mommy please come back!" I screamed and looked at the ceiling. That wasn't going to help.
My dad burst into the house, he threw his suitcase on the other side of the room and threw himself on the couch.
"Where's my food you little piece of crap." He screamed.
"Uh.. Right here." I hesitated and grabbed the plate of food I cooked for him.
"Leave!" He screamed at me demanding .e to go to my room.
I did as I was told. Things changed ever since mom has died. Daddy stopped feeding me and caring about me. He started to drink and abuse me.
I went to take a shower. I took of the dress and looked at the bruises at my chest. I was all bruised up, I started to cry.
I took a quick shower and got dressed. I crawled to my bed and curled up into a ball.
"Mommy I remember when you said you'd always be there for me.... Where are you when I need you ?" I said softly as I looked at the ceiling.
I saw a white light appear in my room. The white light soon formed.... It was my mommy. She was so beautiful in a white dress and her wings were big and white.
"Hello sweety." My mom said softly.
"Hi mommy.... I missed you alot.." I tried to approach her to give her a hug but I felt the pain in my chest again.
"Ow." My mom approached me and put her hand on my chest. Seconds later I didn't feel any pain in my chest and I reagained my breathing.
"Sweety you have school tommorow, let's get you to bed."
I crawled under my covers and she tucked me in. She gave me a kiss and she was going to leave.
"Mommy."
"Yes sweety."
"Sing me a lullaby before you go." I asked softly.
"Okay."
My sweet little angel. Sleep softly away, sleep on a cloud and don't forget to smile anyway. I know its been a bad day but let you're dreams speak, let the sorrow wash away, tommorow will be a good daaayyyy."
My mom sang so beautiful I never forgot the sweet sound of her voice. I loved Ber very much.
"Mommy.."
"Yes sweety"
"Don't leave me..." I pleaded
"I never left I'm always here with you."
My mom started to disappear. It would be a long time before I saw her, but I'm glad she came to see me. I missed her so much.
