The sunday morning began with the small pit pat drops of the rain, soon turning into a heavy rainfall with thunders and lightings.
[2pm]
It was the afternoon time of the day, the girl was laying on her bed, hands and legs spread across the bed. She was in the mood to take a quick nap, but sleep didn't count on her.
She closed her eyes, and turned her position in hopes that she will fall asleep soon, but it felt hard due to the heavy lightings and thunders.
'Knock Knock'
A soft knock was heard, earning the girl's attention. Turning her head towards her bedroom's door, it opened with a slight creak sound, revealing her mother.
"Are you free?". Her mother asked.
"Yeah, what do you want?". The girl spoke, folding her arms.
Her mother moved away from the door, and walked towards the girl with a brown file on her hand.
"Dear, your dad needs this file asap at his office. It's really important for his meeting, Can you please deliver this to his office?".
"Why are you telling me? You can go and tell some workers, right?". The girl asked.
"The rain was too heavy that all our maids and workers refused to come today". Her mother spoke. "I'm sorry for disturbing you, but it's really important".
The girl thought for a moment."Fine, book me a cab". She stood up from her bed.
"Dear, I don't think there's any cab, today".
The girl furrowed her brows. "What do you mean? How am I supposed to go there then?".
"You have to walk, sweetie. There won't be any traffic, and I'm sure you will reach there".
"What the fuck do you mean? do you actually think that I'll walk for miles? I can't do this. Go tell someone else". She sat back on her bed, hands crossed to each other.
Her mother didn't listen to her daughter's words, and placed the file on her daughter's bed while she gave an apology look.
