"If this eccentric omega meets me at the gates of the city, given how cold it is on the street, I declare with full responsibility that I will punish him right in front of everyone," Guuk looks ahead, hoping to distinguish the city walls, which, due to the thick morning fog are not yet visible.
Guuk left Iblis nearly four weeks ago, heading north to a once-friendly empire that abruptly changed patron and sided with Zhu. Guuk receives information from his spies, who immediately report to the alpha if one of the allies no longer wants to be friends, and takes action. The devil hopes that this show of strength will be a lesson to all those who also want to change their priorities, but do not really believe in it. Recently, there has been too much news that Zhu has activated in the territories adjacent to the empire, and Guuk understands that he is unlikely to have time to visit everyone, so he only goes through large ones.
The army of the empire walking behind, that part of it that did not disperse to other cities, also looks impatiently into the milky haze, dreaming of being at home and seeing their families. Hoseok, who is on Khan to the left of his friend, shares his desire to get to Eden faster. After Seokjin's visit to Iblis, the friends did not speak for a day, Hoseok let off steam outside the city, fought with swords, and Guuk waited for him to cool down. The alphas failed to come to an agreement on this issue, but all personal troubles are always left aside, it is worth talking about the threat to the empire.
"Stop it,'' Hoseok chuckles at Guuk's words about Yoongi. "They miss us, we were gone for almost a month. I'm sure mine will be cold too but also stick out outside the gate," he straightens the fur vest.
"Yes, but yours does not have a belly, and this one already has a hard time with pregnancy, he is still looking for adventures for himself," Guuk replies with displeasure. "And besides, we miss them no less, because now I can't even enjoy the victory really, no walling up in the wall, public executions or torture. Everything takes time, but as we rush through another land, we punish the guilty and immediately fly to Iblis, just to see them," the alpha raises his eyes to the autumn sky.
"I'll go visit our friend again,'' says Hoseok after a long pause, spurring on his horse and galloping away towards the carriages carrying weapons and utensils.
"Hey Namjoon,'' Hoseok pulls on Khan's reins next to the closed cart. "We're almost home. Do you want to get out of your den?"
In response, there is an incoherent murmur and silence again. Hoseok spins around the cart for a couple of minutes and, realizing that he won't get Kim into dialogue, returns to Guuk.
"It was in vain that we took him with us. I admit I should have obeyed you,'' Hoseok says gloomily, glancing up at the visible walls of Iblis.
"You wanted the best," Guuk encourages him. "You thought the battles would return our old friend to us, in the end, he did not even get out of the tent and did not part with the wine."
"How long do you think this will continue? Two months have already passed, why is he not letting go?" Hoseok laments.
"I don't know, but I really want it to pass, and first of all for his own sake," Guuk says wearily. "And our flanks also suffer, you saw it yourself. He is a strong commander, without whom it will be very difficult for us. Our entire strategy is based on the three leaders. We have so many battles on our nose, we are surrounded by enemies, I need his hands and his head, but he only drinks. For now, let him sit in the palace, I hope, he will already begin to come to his senses, and before that, I will not take him on the next campaigns," the alpha says in frustration. "Who would doubt that Yoongi won't sit in the palace,'' he sighs, nodding his head towards the gate to Iblis.
