"ring, ring! ring ring!" Charli rolled out of bed and stopped her alarm. She sat up straight and rubbed her eyes a bit. She forced herself out of bed and took a glance at the calendar, then, a few words appeared in her head: It's. My. Birthday!!
Charli's eyes flew wide open and kept thinking about all the possibilities on how The Squad would surprise her on this special day. Would they throw a big party? Or would they take her on a trip to Disneyland?
Charli went out of her room and checked on the others to see what they were doing.
Huh, all of The Squad member's rooms are empty... ooh! They must be downstairs preparing for her surprise party! Charli excitedly skipped downstairs and arrived at the living room. Sora, Jaxx, Levi, Luca and Light were on the floor, fighting over each other about Monopoly. On the other side of the room, Jade and Alex were sitting on the couch, reading the new issue of Vogue while whispering and giggling with each other. Charli tried many times to get their attention but failed as they kept on arguing.
Jaxx: LUCA!! YOU CHEATER! You landed on my property and somehow haven't paid RENT. I shall not let that slide.
Luca: Nuh uh! You don't know that...
Levi: Yeah, you don't know that. Stop accusing him.
Light: Guys, stop fiGhTiNg. Just finish the game! The Krew just uploaded a new video and I need to watch it.
Jaxx: LIGHT NO, THIS IS IMPORTANT.
Sora: Come on, it was my turn to roll the dice!
Alex: Oh my gosh you guys are so loud!
Jade: Yeah, me and Alex are going to go deaf after this.
Jaxx: SHUT UP JADE!
Charli finally gave up on getting their attention and tiptoed to the kitchen for something to eat. "clink!" A spoon she accidentally knocked off the counter fell on the floor.
Alex: Hey Charli! You're awake.
Charli: Yeah, I just woke up...
Then, all the boys got up from the door and headed towards the front door.
Charli: Levi? Luca? Where are you guys going?
Levi: Me and Luca are going to go and uhm...buy stuff at the grocery store.
Jaxx: Yup, I need to swing by the...video game store and get the new Mario game!
Sora: Hey Jaxx, w-wait for me! I'm coming with you!
Light: I am going to go up to my room and watch The Krew.
Charli was taken aback, why are they leaving? Did they forget it was her birthday? She told herself to calm down and think on the positive side. Maybe they are saving the surprise for later! Pfft, they wouldn't forget her birthday. They're her closest friends!
