I woke up to the sound of my alarm on my phone and sighed, everything felt so different now, Tikki and Plagg were gone, and I had moved in with my boyfriend Adrien Agreste to his father's mansion since Gabriel is in jail paying for his mistakes. He woke up a little after and smiled at me.
"Good morning sweetheart, how did you sleep?" He asked as he stretched
"Great what would you like for breakfast?" I asked
"How about we go out? This new bakery opened up a couple of blocks away," He responded
"Sure we could use the time to finally catch up since we won't be having much time soon!"
"Well the sooner we get there, the more time we'll have to catch up," He said as he pulled me out of bed and kissed me on the forehead.
"Are we ready to go?" I asked
"Of course M'Lady," He said as he held my hand
It's him, the one I want to marry. I was sure of it, I mean he was great, smart, and perfect, too good to be true. but he was true and he was mine. We walked to the baker trying to avoid crazy fans, wearing hats and sunglasses, it was ridiculous and Adrien and I often wished we didn't have to do it, but I only did it for him, whenever I went alone nobody recognized me, I was just a part of the crowd. and I wished I could share that with Adrien, who I know would give anything for it.
"KittySection Cafe? that sounds pretty familiar," I said while we entered, and sat down as we took off our sunglasses and hats
"Well look what I found, a real Marinette Dupain-Cheng, could it be my eyes tricking me?" A voice joked, it seemed familiar like a voice that my mind never wanted to forget. I suddenly looked up and saw the same raven-haired boy the which I had met many years ago, and fallen in love with. He had changed a lot, matured tons as well, but his blue eyes remained the same, like an endless deep blue ocean. The ones I fell for once and promised myself not to do again.
"Luka?"I quietly whispered
"Mari, long time no see, Adrien my pal, you lucky gal!" He said those last words with hurt, I hurt him didn't I?
"Yeah, I guess so," Adrien responded with a cold glare and harsh words, why was he mad at Luka?
"What will yup be having today?" He said noticing the elephant in the room, one we all tried to avoid for many years.
"I will be having a unicorn... omelet," I said giggling at the name
"Your laughter hasn't changed one-bit bluenette," His words slipped out of his mouth before he could stop himself, Adrien gave him the deadliest death stare he could get out of him, and well him being Adrien Agreste, it was more funny than scary. I on the other missed that name 'bluenette' and the sweet voice that said it to tease me, 'no I will not go back, the past is in the past' I remind myself. But I could stop my face from warming up the slightest.
"What about you?" He asks Adrien, he shrugs "A croissant for Adrien then," and he left
"What's up with that?" I ask him after he sighed from relief
"He acts as nothing has changed, I will never forgive him," And he looks down at his feet
"He has nothing to do with your problem, and how come your not mad at me as well? I mean I also fell for him, but I love you Adrien, and Luka as well, he would never do anything to harm you!" I say
"Your food's read- Mari! Adrien?" Rose says, clearly surprised by our sudden appearance, mostly by Adrien's.
"My God, Rose! you let your hair grow! you look beautiful!" I say hugging her "You work here?"
"Juleka owns the place, but Luka and I work part-time," "Have you heard his music, it's amazing!" She says
"No, I haven't," I lied, of course I listen to Lukas music. I just knew that if Adrien found out he would be madder.
"Well enjoy your food!" She says with a smile so bright only rose would be able to wield its power, to lift moods up because she can make an irritating Adrien smile, and that is complicated even to god.
"Hey Luka, could you bring us the check," I ask
"It's one the house, consider this as a little reunion gift," He says, but anyway I leave a 20$ bill on the table as a tip, because after everything he's been through, this is the least I can do, but not the only thing I am planning to do. As we left the cafe to go back home, Adrien caught a girl who tripped with a rock nearby, she had short bluish hair, a lot like mine. She looked Asian since she had small hazel-colored eyes and some freckles on her face.
"Are you okay?" I asked worried about her
"I fine, uh a-arigatō," She says (I used translate Idk if it's written wrongly 0.0 it's supposed to say thank you in Japanese)
"It's alright, what's your name?" Adrien asked as she regained her balance
"Kagami Tsuguri," She politely answers with a Japanese accent and a smile, that's frankly was, scary.
"Well Kagami, I can tell we're going to be good friends!" I said in my usual happy tone
"Tomodachi? Tomodachi, fr-friends" She says (again sorry if it's wrongly written... )
"Yeah, Friends," Adrien says. But since that day, both of us knew it would never be the same between us, we were adults now, responsible for our actions, and everything we do could break us, or break the other...
