my eye's flutter open. its been a week since niki left. i haven't left the apartment. i haven't talked to anyone. not even clay. i consider him as a bestfriend and this was the first time i haven't talked to him in a while. i check the time, 3:38PM , flashes on my digital clock. i think its time i get up. i toss on niki's hoodie that she left here. i walk downstairs and open my fridge to get a monster. i haven't slept in 4 days. this isn't good. i hear hard knocks on my door.

i walk to the door and look through the peep hole. "go away clay. i can't talk right now." i say, still behind the door.

"y/n open the door. we have to talk. c'mon. open up. please n/n.." he says. you can tell he's been crying. you can hear it in his voice. click click. you decide to let him in. 

when you open the door you engulfs you in the biggest hug. you throw your arms around his neck, he puts his arms around your waist. "please talk to me n/n.. we haven't talked in a week. i can't take this.." he lets go of you, as you do the same.

"n/n. you haven't left your aparment since niki left. you look like shit." hey! atleast he was being truthful. you did look like shit. you haven't showered and haven't taken care of your self since she left. she was your bestfriend. and she left. it would take atleast a month for niki's visa to get accepted. she wouldn't be home.

"wow.. thanks clay. like i didn't know.." you say sarcastically.

"n/n," he cups you face in his hands, you just want to melt into his touch. "you have to take care of yourself." he says looking you in the eyes.

in that moment, your brain was trying to process what you wanted to say. or do. you knew you liked him. since you didn't leave the apartment you had time to think about everything. you definitely knew you liked him. you liked how when he smiles, he gets dimples. you liked how when he laughed, he leaned back. it was contagious. you liked when he said your name you got butterfly's every time. you liked how you would catch him staring at you. in that moment you decide to kiss him.
