First day in town

Yuri POV

I could just remember it like yesterday. The dark clouds forming and water started to drop down heavily. my mom was driving. My dad was at home and had to do some work so it was just me and mom who was in the car on our way to the piano competition. It was too foggy to see so my mom was driving slowly but i told her to go faster because i might miss my competition. we kept arguing when a bright light was in front of us and that was when my mom got out of her seat and went to me. I couldn't grasp the situation because everything was too fast. I blinked and groan in pain after the impact. I looked at mom who was covering me. I touched her and moved her but she just fell like she wasn't alive. That was when I called her but she didn't respond. I kept calling, I saw her eyes. they were full of life, but now it didn't have the life it use to have. I kept calling her and I heard the ambulance. I kept crying on the way to the hospital as I saw my mom in the hospital bed. The memory flashed and I was wearing black clothes. I saw my mom in the coffin. Tears started to fall down from my eyes. I tried wiping  it but I saw blood all over my hands. I kept trying to clean it but the blood wouldn't go away.  I tried to call for help but my surroundings was black then sunshine came into my eyes. I jolted up and realized it was only a dream. I was sweating and huffing as the memories keep coming back. 

I look to my side for my phone and I grabbed it. It was currently 10:00 in the morning. I got out of bed and changed my clothes. I went downstairs to see my dad drinking coffee. "good morning dad" I said as I grabbed water from the fridge. He then looked at me and said "good morning sweetie, your uncle Jo texted me and said that your should go visit him and help him in his cafe today". I nodded and said "then i'll go change now". He then said " I'll drop you off there, ok". I nodded again and went back up stairs to change. After changing I went outside the house. I saw a truck full of our furniture.  I asked dad if it was okay if we leave the workers here alone in the house and he said its okay.  I went inside the SUV and me and my dad were off to my Uncle's cafe.

When we arrived the cafe was packed. "It looks like Uncle's cafe is booming "I said to my dad. he turned to me and said "I have to go back to the house now to make sure the workers are ok". I nodded and said my goodbye. I looked for my uncle who I then spotted at the counter taking orders from people. I waved a "hello" sign and he looked at me with excitement.  He didn't have time to talk but he gestured for me to go inside his office in the back and i nodded. He was taking a very long time so i just played some games in my phone. 2 hours later he finally came inside the office and said sorry. I told him that it was ok but he looked really apologetic. "I don't know why i have so many costumers today" he said and i looked to his side and said "well its good to know that your business is booming Uncle Jo". He chuckled and said " I'm so tired but i still have a few more hours before closing the cafe". I said that its fine if i wait there i few more hours because i really didn't mind it. He offered me something to drink and eat and i agreed and went out of the office with him.

I was at the counter waiting for my food and drink. I checked my phone and it was currently 3:20 in the afternoon. I heard big noises and i could see student walking. my uncle came out with my drink and food and i started to vacuum the food.  My Uncle stared at me with joy and i looked at him with one brow up. He chuckled and said that I was still a kid inside. I laughed and kept eating. I just kept talking to uncle Jo until the bell jingled and i saw so many student come in. they were all talking very loudly and they sat inside. i saw one girl who parked her bicycle outside and went inside to drop her guitar in the back at the seat. She then came up to the counter and said hi to Uncle Jo. and my uncle said "hello Ms Choi". she looked at me and i just bowed and she bowed back. She asked who i was and i was just shocked when she asked that i almost choked on my food but i don't think she hear that. My uncle said that i'm his nephew  and said my name. I just look at her and smiled. she bowed again and introduced herself as Yena. she ordered and and got her food. i look at her and she turned back to my direction and said "nice to meet you Yuri". I could feel heat in both of my cheeks. My heart started to beat really fast and i just went to back to the office after what happen. I couldn't believe myself was it love at first sight?.

After hours of waiting inside the office I went out. and saw my Uncle Jo cleaning up and i didn't see the girl named Yena. My uncle wrapped things up and closed the cafe. he dropped me off and he drove off.  I went inside the house and saw all the furniture placed. I saw my dad making food in the kitchen. I said hi to dad and went up stairs to change. i went downstairs to see that my dad is done cooking and the food is ready in the table. I seated and right across from me was my dad. we talked about things from the house to the cafe and the neighborhood. He then said that i will be attending school here from now on. and I just nodded and said that I am prepared for this school year. He's worried that i might not get along with kids since i've been home schooled a lot since my mother died. I just said that its okay and that i will try to find friends in school. 

after eating I cleaned up and did the dishes. I went upstairs to watch some videos in my laptop. my eyes were getting heavy and I decided to sleep. I turned off the lights and taught about how my first day will go tomorrow. I hope I will have friends. I was getting nervous at the taught but I fell a sleep. in a blink of an eye it was morning. my alarm rang and i turned it off. it was finally my first day of school.
