The Reasons I Cry

Alright so it's the end of the quarter and I am starting to have this HUGE crush. Whoah, woah, back it up. My name is Katie. I am 12 years old and I live in Alaska. I'm in the 7th grade and so far it's been a very dramatic year. There has been SO much drama this year and I don't even get why!.....Ok maybe I DO get it. That's right. It's boy drama.

Everyone likes someone, weather it's a LOT, or just a little bit. I myself have a crush. But I'm starting to wonder if it's just a crush....or if its more than a crush. Well I don't know you tell me! Let me tell you my story.

There is this boy at school named Ethan and he is the most amazing boy on earth. But there's one problem. He thinks I'm annoying.

Ok so at our school, we have these things called fortnightlys. It's like a school dance but it's pop music and you don't really dance with guys, usually just you and some friends. Anyways, I was at the fortnightly with my best friend Chelsey sort of staring at him and then I said to Chelsey, "Ok, I'm gonna be brave. I'm gonna ask him out." So Chelsey started to walk me towards him and I said, "Woah not THAT brave, you have to do it for me!"

So, Chelsey walked towards him and I ran off in another direction. When she finally found me I said, "So, what did he say??"

Chelsey looked at me and said, "He said he doesn't know who you are."

After she said that I almost cried. It was the worst feeling I'd ever felt. After the fortnightly I walked out of the stuffy building and into the cool night air. It felt so good to be outside and I was actually happier until Ethans friend Elijah walked up to me and said,"You are Katie right?"

I said,"Yeah why?"

Then Chelsey said,"I know why, he was there when......" and then she turned around and laughed.

At that moment my face turned bright red. I had never been more embarrassed in my life. I felt terrible when I got to my friends house I was staying the night at and I went straight to the bathroom and cried.
