The House Upon The Hill

Chapter 1 The approach

The House on the Hill. From a distance it looked just like any other house but as you became closer and closer the bushes grabbed your ankles, the trees strangled you like bare hands. As you get deeper and deeper into the cult of wildlife your breath begins to shorten the darkness of the wilderness and hugs the life out of you or so they say.

However the approach to the actual house is supposedly the worst part of the whole walk. As you gain less distance between you and the building you become slower and slower moving like a snail. The house upon the hill creaks as you stand at the bottom of the old wooden steps. It hypnotises you as if inviting you in.

Slowly walking up the steps creak by creak you become more hypnotised standing in front of the door of this mansion. Slowly opening the door CREAK CREAK. Slowly slipping into the house and standing in the doorway. THIS IS WHERE THE TRUE HORROR BEGINS. This is my story and how I barely escaped with my life.

My name is Joe and this is my warning STAY AWAY FROM THE HOUSE UPON THE HILL.  

As a teenager, I stupidly entered the most dangerous house in my town, if not the world. I didn't heed the warning given to me my whole young life and that was my biggest mistake in my whole life and I have made a few of them.

I stepped fully into this old decapitated house and suddenly SLAM the door was closed behind me with a BANG. It echoed through me and the whole house like a gunshot runs through an open field. As the echoes shake me to my core I ignore what my body tells me and continue deeper and deeper into this disembodied building.

They say that this house is the most dangerous house in our quiet little town if not the world. Its so haunted not even Ghost Adventurs will come and investigate but me being a stupid teenager wanting to act all hard infront of my friends. It started out as a dare and I was going to do it but then well you know how teenagers are.

So adventurous me continues into the danger still ignoring every part of my body to turn around and leave.
