chapter 1: backstory

                  It was a sunny afternoon, Angela decided it would be a nice day to play outside while her mother was at work. As she played outside she got this feeling... "Something doesn't feel right..." Angela said to herself. Angela was a big spiritual person. Keeping incense, crystals, and spell jars in her room at all times. She ran inside dropping the Daisy's she was picking. She ran to her spirit rods and asked "is something bad going to happen today?" Her spirit rods crossed... "yes" said the spirits. Angela was so worried. She had no idea what was going to happen today...

Angela ran outside when she heard a car door slam, she was so excited to have her mother be home! Angela's mother had a bad reputation of bringing men home. Sleeping with them and kicking them out the next day. So when Angela saw a tall bearded man step out of the car with her mother. She thought nothing of it "oh another one" she sighed to herself . Her mother ran up to her with a big smile on her face "good afternoon sweetheart!" Her mom said with her smile almost touching her ears! "Umm hi? Why are you so happy?" Angela asked her mother "well sweetheart, this isn't just "some other man"... It's your new Step father!" Her mother exclaimed excitedly. Angela had never seen her mom that happy before, so she couldn't ruin the moment. Angela had to pretend to be happy so her mother wouldn't get upset. "T- that's great mom..." She said faking her smile. "I'm going to go make some tea for all of us! Ok? Me and your new father will be inside. Have fun outside sweety!" Her mother said as she galloped inside. "B- bye..." Angela wispered trying not to sound as sad as she was. Her new "father" following right behind her mother, smiled and looked her up and down. Angela felt uncomfortable but went to play outside anyways.
