The kiss

Chapter 1

"Where is that idiot? He is going to make us late." sarada groans.

"Well I'm sure he's coming soon" replied the blue-haired boy. "Look at him, there."

Sarada turned around and saw the blue-eyed Uzumaki running towards their meeting spot. The sight of him made her nervous but she didn't pay much attention to it.

"I'm here, sorry I'm late!". He put his hands on his knees and started panting.

"Geez, it took you long enough. Next time try to come earlier." Sarada said rolling her eyes.

"Oh shut up! I was only a few minutes late."

"Hn" the Uchiha responds while crossing her arms in front of her chest.

"Let's go now. If we just stand here and argue we will be even more late," Mitsuki said while starting to sprint off.  

Team 7 quickly rushed over to the Hokage's office and opened the door to find Konohamaru Sensei and Lord 7th already chatting about who knows what.

"Ah look you're finally here"

Boruto walked up to Lord sevenths desk and slammed his hands on his desk. "Hey old man, what's our mission today?" Boruto asked while having a huge grin on his face.

"It's lord seventh to you while you're in my office Boruto. For today's mission, you guys will be protecting a little girl by the name of Kae. She lives in a village an hour away from here. Her parents are going somewhere later today and are leaving her with you guys. Last time they did this their house got broken into and some strange men tried to take the little girl away, so this time you guys are going to watch over her."

Naruto then hands Konohamaru a map to the village.

"That's basically babysitting, ya know." Boruto said with an annoyed expression on his face.

"It doesn't matter, it's an important mission to have."

"Yeah, whatever you say" Boruto exclaimed.

Team 7 starts jumping from one tree to another. Surprisingly, most of the way there, it was pretty silent. Usually, Boruto and Sarada would be arguing over something stupid. This time, Sarada was lost in her thoughts, not saying a word. Unbeknownst to the rest of the team, Sarada, displeased, was thinking about how weird she started feeling around Boruto. Then suddenly there was a loud thump. Boruto, Mitsuki, and Konohamaru quickly stopped in their tracks and turned around to see Sarada gone.

"Sarada!" Boruto yelled.

"I'm down here!"

Boruto and Mitsuki both jumped down to find Sarada lying on her back in a bush. Boruto started laughing and walked over to Sarada. The Uchiha felt her cheeks heat up. She was embarrassed.

"Hey! Stop laughing at me!" Sarada yelled as she got up.

"Geez you scared me, ya know. How did you even fall?"

"W-well I was spacing out and I slipped on a tree branch and fell"

"Geez Sarada it's not like you to space out, are you okay?"

"Yes, I am fine, let's just continue with our mission"

"Alright, if you say so. Just be careful, you don't want to get yourself badly hurt." The Uzumaki grinned and hopped on a tree branch. "Now let's go."
