Scene 1

Setting: High School Hallway.

(Belle enters stage left. Walks past Alex.)

 

Belle-(Gasps. Falls against lockers. Class bell rings and she snaps out of it and runs off stage to class.)

Scene 2

Setting:Belle’s room.

 

Belle:(Sitting on her bed, narrating her jornal) There’s this boy. I saw him. Today in the hall. And he is radiant. The most beautiful boy I have ever seen! Every little detail is perfect! I don’t even know his name. I bet he has the greatest name! Something beautiful and just rolls off the tongue!  I haven’t even seen him more for more than ten seconds. But He’s perfect, all the same. I wish I was likeable enough for him. He could never like a girl like me. I’m too fat for someone like that to like me. My hair is too short. My face is too pudgy. My glasses are old and ugly. (Pushes up glasses) and they never ever stay up long enough for me not to look stupid. And I have no connections to him. Maybe if I was friends with his friends, or maybe family friends, or something like that. But no. Lonely ol’ me. I’ll never have a chance with him. Or anyone i guess. I dont even have a good friend. What’s so wrong with liking food so much that it makes it that so someone can’t have any friends?

Scene 3

Setting:High School, Math class

(Belle walks in and sits down. A new girl sits down next to her.)

 

Casey: (Turning to Belle) Hi! I’m Casey. I just moved here from New York. And I have no idea about this kind of math, could you help?

Belle:(Looking down, grabbing papers) Yeah. Sure. Here’s my notes.

Casey:Thanks Chica!

(flash to end of class)

Casey:Here’s your notes back. Wow, you’re a genius! I could use some extra help still. Could you maybe come over to give me a hand in my other subjects?

Belle:Oh, Yeah. Totally.

Casey:Great! Here’s my number. (Hands number and walks away)
