Forbidden Love

15 Years Later

"Via! Watch out where you're going! you'll get someone killed!" I pull the reins and calm Estrella to a halt. 

"Sorry, Vera. I think Estrella is just really tired from last night's training, maybe she should rest?" I was also tired from last night. I kept having all these nightmares. Ones about attacks from The Shadows. The shadows are Satan's soldiers. They forage each village of each kingdom, looking to take over. Satan wants to be the ruler of all the kingdoms, wants all the power, I'm guessing.  He has already taken over most of the good kingdoms, and all of the bad. His path of destruction seems to be heading towards Heaven. Don't know why, probably because it's the biggest and main good kingdom. Somebody spread the rumor that he was searching for the 'Forbidden Child', But that's just a myth. It's a story where Hells Princess, and Heavens Prince, had fallen in love. That part is true. The myth is that they had a child. But nobody had ever heard of or seen this child. 

"VIA!" I snapped back into reality. "focus!" This time it wasn't Vera yelling at me, it was Elia.  She must be extremely stressed, to be yelling at me. She rarely yells at someone. She's the type that doesn't yell at people or tell them off. She's the type to yell when she's excited or overwhelmed. She's a kind soul. She can be annoying at times, but I still wouldn't know what to do without her. I bring Estrella to a halt again, but this time I leap off her back and onto the ground. Vera's face was full of horror.

"that is not how I taught you to dismount! Just jumping off can cause harm to both you and Estrella!" I feel like retaliating to Vera, but then Elia spoke up.

"Please Octavia, listen to Vera. She's trying to help you. If you do what she says, you'll be safe." I can see her eyes glistening with tears. I was confused. Safe? Safe from what? Why did I have to be training? What's going on? in the distance, I see my mother rushing over. 

"OCTAVIA!!" she stops in front of me. "There have been attacks. The shadows are getting closer!"

"Is this what this is all about? You're training me just so I can defend myself?" I felt the heat of the rage rushing all through my blood.

"You're not fighting Octavia. We just need you safe." I turn to my friends, the back to mum.

"Why can't I? Because I'm a girl? while all the other guys fight, I can't. or is it because I'm a princess. I'm royal and next inline?" At that, I hop on Estrella's back and head towards the castle.
