Alfrida (She/Her)
Dalia (She/Her)

(Heads up for those reading, this is a royalty story. Alfrida is a princess of a minor Scottish Bloodline and Dalia is her best friend. The image above is of a city, but instead think of it as one with Victorian cottages within modern Scotland and without the skyscrapers. Thanks and enjoy!)

"Alfrida, meet me on the wall."
-Dalia

Alfrida stared at the note and smiled. She turned to the door, she stepped forward locking it. Then hurriedly walked to her closet, she threw on a floral patterned skirt and a deep maroon sweater over top, and stumbled as she pulled on her boots while rushing towards her window. She stomped down forcing her heel into the heeled boot, grabbed the window handle and opened it, greeted by a cool breeze and the clouds gently spitting. She sat on the sill and hoisted her self upwards on to the roof and walked along the platform to the intersection above the courtyard.

Dalia paced in a circle, she was so nervous, tonight she was telling Alfrida and there was no going back. She walked to the wall over looking the houses and fields, lights were still burning in the houses, and the star twinkled brightly, Dalia sat and lifted her head with her eyes closed to feel raindrops lightly spattering on her freckles. She scrunched her nose and grinned, laying down on the pavement behind her. Above her, she opened her eyes to a smiling princess staring down at her.
"Hi," Alfrida said bending over into Dalia face and letting her hair tumble off her shoulders.
Dalia's eyes softened as she examined Afrida's face in case this was her last chance to do so. Her wavy hair split with highlights of gold and tree bark, her eyes a gleaming mix of Pine and Moss, and her her eyebrows complemented them, thick and well groomed, but what Dalia always though was her best feature, was her lips. They were so delicate, so much unlike the girl she had fallen in love with. Dalia softly replied,
"Hey Alfy," and stood up.

Alfy walked onto the wall and sat, patting the spot beside her with her hand. Dalia went and sat next to her, letting Alfrida lay her head onto her shoulder, her hair touching Dalia's sap hair.
"Tonight is perfect, it's beautiful," Alfrida said admiring the grounds and the skies.
"Yeah," Dalia glanced a side look at her, "it is. And it's all yours."
"Not yet, my mother still has until August. Then I'll be put onto throne." Alfrida recalled. "Fortunately, I don't need a King."
Dalia fidgeted with her hands and stumbled on her words about to confess when Alfrida requested they stood up. Alfy took Dalia's face in her hands and said,
"I don't know how long I've been waiting to tell you this," and kissed Dalia. The world dissolved, Dalia fell into the charm. The clouds parted more to reveal all the constellations. Alfrida parted and looked into Dalia's eyes once more, "I-" she began to say but Dalia interjected, "I love you." She placed a hand over Alfridas on her cheek, and brought it to her mouth, kissing her palm, and said, "Shall we go, My lady?" The wind blew through their hair hair as Alfrida nodded blushing. Dalia held her hand still and began walking down the wall, both, basking in pure mirth.

Hey thank you for reading! This was my first short lgbt story I've written out, I dreamt about this last night, and I was in place of Dalia. It was the sweetest dream I've had in a long while. Let me know how I did and have a good day/night!
