My name is Ali. I'm currently 12 years old. I would like to bring you back in history to my past. Let's begin with introducing you into the new world. Meet my sister, Sarah.

Today is January 23rd, 2008.

"Ali! Guess what day today is!"

"Sigh, yeah, your anniversary."

"Come on, sound more excited!" Sarah tugged on my covers until I got so annoyed I sat up.

"Don't you ever get tired? Like seriously, what's so good about boys?" I often wondered what she saw in that guy! They met for like one day and started dating. What?

"Nah, he's wonderful! I'd die to be with him!"

Dude, she's gone crazy. Like totally. OBSESSED with him. No use talking it out of her now.

"He's coming soon. Don't let him see you in your pajamas!" Sarah pinched me. "Wake up dreamy head!" She galloped out of my room.

"Ugh, got it."

I got up, dressed, and went to brush my teeth.

What did she see in him...? I don't get it. Whatever, she's happy being with him. So let it be.

I finished cleaning, and ran down to
meet my family. I spotted my sister in a beautiful white dress.

My, was she pretty.

"Like my dress?"

"Yeah, it's beautiful."

"You can have it later on."

I giggled and ducked when she tried to put a flower crown on me. "Nah, I'll pass."

3 hours passed. Still so sign of her "boyfriend." I looked at Sarah. She was getting sadder at the minute that I can already see her clenched hands tightening into fists, like she was about to burst into fireworks.

"...Sarah?"

"Yeah?"

That was the first time I heard her talk with that tone. She sound like he just ditched her. Not saying he didn't, but...

"Do you really think he'll come?"

"We're still waiting."

3 more hours passed. Finally Sarah couldn't take it anymore.

"That's it. I'm going to his house."

Before she took a step further, John appeared with a girl that looked just as grouchy as Sarah did.

"Sorry Sarah, Christie here just wouldn't agree to come over with me. Took me a lot of work to get her here, you know!"

"And may I ask who she is?" Sarah sounded mad, but I can sense a bit of pain in her voice.

"Oh yeah, change of plans. You're too mature, I like girls that can pout. So, you're out of the game. Don't be sad though, you'll find someone better than me." He smiled, and turned to leave.

I felt the insides of me burn with anger. I knew there was something wrong with him. I felt something wasn't right. Why hadn't I told Sarah? Well... It's not like she ever believed me....

I looked over at Sarah. She was crying. I haven't ever seen her like this before. Sarah never cries.

"Like I could... Was I just a toy to him? Does he think all this is just a game? He can't.. Not after everything.. Not after three years..."

She screamed. It made me scared. I don't know why, or how, but I felt like something very bad was going to happen. Most likely not worse than what just did, but most likely, right...?
Sarah wiped her tears.

"Ali, I'm going out for a walk, tell Mom and Dad I'll be home as soon as possible."

"Sarah! Can I go with you?"

"No, I'll be fine. Thanks though."

I hoped I could believe her. But I soon realized I couldn't.
