"Class dismissed. See you tomorrow."
The day isn't bad at all if it wasn't to Jonas. Himala. Hindi yata masiyado nagpapakita si Satanas.
"Any plan this summer, Criz?"
Oh right. Naalala ko na naman.
"Well, about that... You know Mom as well, right? She'll keep on nagging about me helping her to save some money for my college next year. And I'm afraid I'm gonna work this summer. Sana makahanap ng matino. Ikaw Mae?"
"Uhm I'm not sure. Maybe I can help you. I don't have financial problems so far. Since I'm supported by my grandma in states. Maybe I'll work for you too. Okay ba sayo?"
"Aww. Ka-touch naman. Pero baka di na kailangan Mae. Just enjoy your vacation. Okay? I can handle this. Yakang-yaka lang."
"You sure?"
"Yeah."
My family's not that wealthy. Tama lang. My father's a policeman while mom's a house wife. So far, nakakasurvive naman kami. Since I'm an only child. But of course I wanna make it up to the best school for college. So I need to work for it.
Oh God. Tristan is in the cafeteria!
And he's alone! Geeez. I wanna seat beside him!
He looked so hot just like that! Kyaaaah.
Oh-kay. The girls are going crazy. I can't help but to peek through the entrance of the cafe. Makikichizam lang.
And there, Tristan was alone enjoying the accompany of the books like he used to do. He is just so charming when he's like that. Hindi manlang siya nagmukang dork sa paningin ko. I can't help but stare.
He suddenly looked at my direction. I was shocked. Ako ba tinitingnan niya? Now all eyes are on mine. But just a few second, he let go and start reading his book again.
Dug dug dug.
What's this? My heartbeat is like louder and faster.
He is definitely irresistable, sabi ko sayo e.
-------
"Hey, I saw your eyes back there. They were like 'Please don't look away!' and everything. Ganon kaba kainlove sakanya? Well, eto lang masasabi ko, easy girl. You might get hurt if you gave up everything."
"Hey it's not like that! I'm not giving like my everything you know. I just like him. That's all." totoo naman ah.
We were walking home when a red porche stood in our side driving slowly like walking along with us.
What's the driver trying to pull out?
The window started to pull down and now it makes sense.
"Hey girls, I bet you want a ride back home eh?"
The jerk's talking. Riding in his NEW car. Wait, it seems like it's just a month since he had his other car. Jeez. What do you expect from rich people? Kala mo tumatae lang ng pera. Tsk.
They are actually our neighbor. With their very huge lawn and a mansion-like house. No, mansyon na nga talaga. Our mothers are high school friends while our grandfathers are best pals. So yeah. I didn't know everything until we moved here. Masiyado pala kaming magkaugnay. Kasura.
"No thanks. It's better to walk through the fresh air than to ride in that stinky car of yours." I was just kidding. He's car never fails to attract girls. Well, except me. Alangan naman.
"Okaaay. If you say so."
Then rushed off his car like he's on a race. Geez. I just hate that man's guts. Para bang surang-sura ako.I remember when we started being enemy buddies,
Oh god. I got into trouble on the first day of school. Tss.
*beeep*
I got a textmessage from Mom.
Hey Crizelda, nakauwi kanaba? Punta ka sa kapitbahay. Ipapakilala kita. Family friend sila.
Oh-kay. Does she mean the mansion over there? Wow.
I was already in the front door in less than a minute. Pinagbuksan ako ng magandang babae na wari'y kaedad lang ni mama.
"Oh! Is she your daughter? She's pretty huh. Hi dear, I'm Victoria. Your Mom's friend." wow. Mas maganda talaga siya kay Mama! Hahaha.
"Hi. I'm Crizelda. It's nice meeting you po." I answered back.
"So, you're also studying at Harris University right?"
She suddenly blurted out."Opo. Bakit niyo po natanong?"
"Well. We are the owner of that school. And sa tingin ko kilala mo rin yung kambal ko na nag-aaral din doon."
"Kambal po? Ano po bang pangalan? I know one. They're actually famous at the school."
A loud bang was heard then,
"MOM! I'M HO--"
A teenager was stood right next to the door."YOU?" We both said in unison. Faces shocked. Sabi na e.
"Ikaw? Anong ginagawa mo dito?"
"I think I'm the one who must ask you that. What are you doing in MY HOUSE?" giving emphasis to his house. It's the Jonas at the school.
"Hey kids! Stop it! Huwag kayo mag-away."
"Sorry." I said. Embarrassed.
I can see my mom's eyes like daggers. Lagot ako neto pag-uwi."So, you already know each other hija, Jonas?" Tita Victoria blurted out.
"Yes mom. And she's the reason why--"
"What happened to your shirt dear?" putol niya sa anak.
"Ugh." he rolled his eyes and run to his room. Spoiled. Tss.
So yun nga. Our parents said we must be closed and be pals with each other. Which I viewed very impossible. Tch.
Para kaming langis at tubig, aso't pusa, na hinding-hindi mapagdidikit ng hindi nagtatalo. Sa tingin niyo, paano kami magiging best pals?
