"It's been a while hasn't it y/n? haven't seen your pretty face in a while"

There he goes again, teasing you, and in a moment like this. In the tower, you both stood, he was rambling while you blocked it out. So many thoughts were going through your head, so many questions forming. However, none seem to have a positive answer. All words lost except for one...

Why?

All for the sick sense of surviving at the cost of becoming a demon!?! Did he not know what he had caused! Perhaps, he didn't care. It seemed as that was the truth, a horrible one. Yet, it seemed the most accurate; he never seems to care anyway.

And yet he has the balls to flirt and make small talk with you? You wanted to slice his head off. You wanted to see him suffer at your sword and beg you for mercy, only for him not to see the light of the moon he hides under. You want him to suffer not just physically, but mentally as well. You wanted to see him disintegrate as his remains permanently leave the earth and rot in hell. You take a deep breath regaining your composure, "aww, don't tell me your mad girly"you glared at him, not an ounce of joy was found in your eyes. you gripped the handle of the sword tighter.

"let's end this now Kaigaku," you say coldly, your face unwavering.

The demon looked at you as if he was trying to find something. He looked at your eyes; it was not new that your eyes seem tired or dead. Yet the light he remembered had now gone. He sighed and got up; he began to approach you. By instinct, you unsheathed your sword. Kai clicked his tongue, you were about to attack until he placed his hand on your cheek. You cringed slightly at his gesture, this was not what you expected but you didn't say anything.

He was staring.

You felt it. It burned you in a way

As much as you didn't want to look at him, you gave in and did. You were at a loss for words. you trained by this guy to fight the creature he had becomea demon

annoying, you thought, breaking the eye contact.

He felt annoyed, you didn't give him the reaction he wanted. You didn't blush, nor panic like you did in the past. Though, it was rare when you reacted surprised. However, you gave him a bit of you, something he could be proud of. That validation he had crave seemed to be only filled by you. Maybe it was because you were something that he couldn't attain easily, a challenge. Or maybe it was something more human...

"Look, This was the only way for someone such as myself to win. After all this time I finally am getting closer!" he said triumphantly. You backed away, still not looking at him.

That got to him, you didn't see his strength so he knew what he needed to do now. You heard the sound of his sword, and you did the same. Making eye contact you got into position. You knew this could end one way.

One survives and makes it out alive. Like hell that would be him

"like old times, heh girly?" Kai said with a smirk

you scowled "Breath of electro: second form"

you both knew there was turning back now

"jolt thrash"

 ...

It was no secret that Kaigaku was a massive jerk, selfish and arrogant. Yet you trained with him so you had to tolerate him. When you were introduced to him, he didn't even know you were a girl. You didn't mind as you welcomed the thought of being called either one. Plus the master thought it was for the better as he knew how people have low expectations for a girl. Plus, there was also his pupil who wasn't the best with others.
