Between Two Worlds

Chapter 1 ~ Coming Home Part 1

The United States of Auradon, so incredibly beautiful with bright blue skies and lush green grass under your feet as you feel the wind running through your hair. I'm Kaylin Rose-Lorelei Underworld, oldest daughter of Queen Maleficent of the Moors and middle child of King Hades of the Underworld. This is my home, well it wasn't always. My story starts where I was born on the Isle of the Lost where all the most powerful villains and sidekicks ever live. The villains were sent there after Adam or Beast as he is more known by that name became King when he married the love of his life as he calls her, Queen Belle. But that all changed when something happened. A few years after some villain kids or VK's were born and we were doing good, a letter was sent from Auradon to me when I was hanging out with my friends. This is the letter they sent to me:

𝒮𝒾𝓃𝒸𝑒𝓇𝑒𝓁𝓎, 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒜𝓊𝓇𝒶𝒹𝑜𝓃 𝒞𝑜𝓊𝓃𝒸𝒾𝓁

I was ecstatic when I read that letter but I also super disappointed because that means when I came back, I wouldn't be with my friends like we dreamed of in high school. It took me a few days to decide but in the end, I decided to go since my father, my friends, and older brother wanted me to have an opportunity to do something in my life. I ended packing up and several days later, the guards took me over to Auradon. A few days after that, I went on my trip with Auradon's Aquarius Marine team and explored while doing the mission for 5 years. During the mission, I was getting notifications from the Auradon News sites and many more about how King Adam put a checkpoint by the barrier that way any kid who actually wants a chance can come through. My older brother, my little sister, their friends, my friends, and so many more villains kids came to Auradon to attend school. I was smiling and jumping up & down so much. A few weeks later after I saw the news, things took a turn...

We were attacked by a group of people who really dislike basically hate Prince Eric and they attacked me mostly in particular since I was the only villain kid on that ship. Luckily, it wasn't too much damage except for my right leg but it was a painful few weeks of doing rehab and physical therapy. None of rehab helped at all but the therapy helped me with my PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and talking about my emotions that were always bottled up inside of me. I used to be a quiet person in the past but when I joined the Marines, I became more talkative and it felt really good talking to people that I felt comfortable with. When I was injured (still am), my new friends would help me with the rehab and be there when I needed them. The injuries I ended up with were a badly broken ankle, a broken talus, a broken knee, a fractured knee cap, a three part broken tibia, a bruised knee, scraped knee, a calf abrasion, a scratched up knee, a pulled lateral meniscus, a pulled patellar ligament, torn up quadriceps tendor, tore up my calcaneal (Achilles), and ripped my calcaneus in half. This was/still is all in the right leg, had to have THREE surgeries to fix my knee up; I have to wear a regular hinged knee brace, a setopress bandage, a levitation knee brace that goes on my knee down to where my bandage ends on my calf, & a zenith ankle brace; and I have to use crutches for the next 2 or 3 months. Another thing is that also my friends from the Isle don't even know that I have to use crutches. I'm nervous because of the fact that I won't be able to do the things that I used to do. I am also nervous because I will be known as not only the first girl to go on a mission for the Marines but the first villain kid to go on a mission for the marines. 

So honestly, I have mixed feelings about coming home but I'm also excited. If you want to know what I kind of look like, I have light ash-brown hair with blue & honey blonde highlights, green-brown hazel eyes, (A/N: Funny fact, I have green-brown hazel eyes in IRL which makes it better since I play the daughter of Hades & Maleficent in this book and Hades has brown eyes while Maleficent has green eyes) fair skin, and that's really it. My older brother has silver blue hair, pale skin, and brown eyes while my little sister has purple-blue hair, green eyes, & pale skin as well. I don't know where I get my partly tan skin from, probably the fact that I spent the better part of 5 years in the sun or my dad has Indian blood. My older brother is actually my half-brother and my little sister is actually my biological sister. We all have the same dad but my older brother's biological mother is Persephone and my little sister's biological mother is the same as mine with Maleficent. It's kind of cool.
