I woke up in the morning with Sarah still sleep laying next to me. I grabbed the remote and turned on the news. I really had a lot of things on my mind since last night. Once I turned on the news I saw Chris's house on TV. I sat up and turned the TV up. The news Said 'A murder took place at 1985 north Gratz street last night, there are no witnesses nor victims that saw what happened, the only thing the police found was a dead body in the pool. If you have any information on this case please contact the police.'
Sarah woke up overhearing the news. She sat up and rubbed my back and told me it will be okay. I gave her a kiss then went to the bathroom. After I got done I got in the shower with Sarah. Then we heard banging on the room door. It was her mother, she just wanted to check to see if we were okay and if we were hungry.
After we got out of the shower, got dressed, and got done eating we drove around to one of Sarah's friends house Luna (who was also at the party). She let us in and we all sat down and talked about what happened last night. She said if I'm really worried about my best friend's death then I should look around for evidence. " How could I look around if the cops are looking for evidence also at the house" I said. " well you can go around there at night and check. " Luna Suggested.
So that's what I did. I left Sarah with luna this time because I knew she couldn't handle being at his house. So I called my friend Andre to come with me if anything. We went to Chris's house around 10 o'clock. I told him to look around for anything that looked suspicious. we both looked around for something or anything we could use.
I noticed something flashing by the bushes in the backyard. I went to it a picked it up. It was a pager that maybe one of the guys had on. And Andre found papers at the top of Chris's closet. We left and went back to Luna's house after we got done.
I looked through the pagers messages and saw -if he doesn't cooperate then kill him!- .I showed it to Sarah, Luna, And Andre. "Bro I found a letter saying 'if you don't have the money by next Saturday we will kill you'" Andre said loudly. "Was that ment for chris?" Asked Sarah. "I'm not sure, but someone is going to have to explain this.." I said.
I went through Chris's phone again to look for his parents number. I called them and told them how their son had passed and the seemed like they didn't care. Then I asked them did they know anything about the murder...they said no but the way they said it made me think that they were behind it. After I got off the phone with them I told Sarah, Luna, And Andre what happened. " What now Jordan? " said Andre.
" I Don't Know... I guess prepare for chris funeral..." I said. Everyone just looked down. After the talk Andre Went home and me and Sarah left Luna's house and went to get t-shirts made with Chris's face on it. We went to a market because Sarah started getting hungry. We went in and got her a hogie.
I went to go get a drink while I was already in the store. A guy walked past me.. just staring. So I went back to Sarah and asked her was she ready to leave. After she got her food and we baught it we left. I told her about the guy and she didn't really say anything about it.
We got the shirts and then went back home. She was tired so I let her get some rest. It was nice outside so I just look out the room window. I saw a person standing by a tree.. just looking. Then my phone rings and I look at it and see the caller ID. It says Chris...But how? If I have his phone ?This is getting weird.
I answer it and say hello but there's no answer just heavy breathing. Then I heard Chris's voice saying "help..help! ". I Just Kept Saying Hello Then The The Last words he said was "You Killed Me Jordan.." then the call ended. I looked at the phone then out the window. the guy was gone.
I look over and see Sarah sitting up on the bed looking at me. "Bae? You Okay?" I asked. Then she stood up and walked over to me and said 'help! Help!' In Chris's voice. I screamed stop! Then she said "You killed me Jordan...".
Her Eyes turned all white and her mouth wide trying to attack me. Then I woke up with her on top of me and saying "Baby? You okay? You had a nightmare." I said "Yeah I'm fine". Then She said good because Chris's funeral is in two hours we have to go. I put on my tuxedo as she put on her dress.
Then we got in the car and drove to pick up Luna and Andre. They got in and we went to the funeral. It was a very sad sight. After it was over Luna and Sarah got in the car. Me and Andre stayed to say a couple more words to him.
Then we got in the car and I drove off. But as I was driving I thought I saw chris pointing at me from the exit of the funeral. I know he's dead but I saw what I saw. So we went back to my house and had dinner. I told Andre what I saw and he just shook his head and said I was over exaggerating.
Everyone slept at my house. Everyone was asleep and I was still up. Thinking about what I saw. That guy, Chris , and my nightmare. It just didn't add up...Why would chris say I killed him? And Who actually killed my best friend? All these unanswered questions...they must be answered...
