#2 Never trust a guy with a cute dimple.
"Hmm." I sighed, trying to get my mom's attention.
"Hmmmmm." I sighed again making it louder this time but still no reaction.
"Hmmmmmmmmmmmm-"
"Could you please stop sighing? It's disturbing just stop." Mom said irritably while preparing dinner. I on the other was sitting on the counter opposite to her.
"Do you really have to leave tomorrow?" I asked in a hopeful tone.
"You know we already have delayed our flight for a week now." Mom said not looking at me and focused on chopping some vegetables so swiftly. She's making the dinner extra special today because of him. I groaned.
"C'mon mom, what kind of parents would leave their own daughter behind, alone with a guy whom by the way we've never seen for a long time, fully grown and who knows what might he is capable to do to me, a girl." I tried to reason while I was sitting in the counter arms crossed.
"You know we're the only family your aunt have. And she is my sister I can't miss my own sister's wedding." Mom stopped from chopping for a minute to look at me.
"But I'm also your family, your only daughter. And you're leaving me behind with a guy, fully grown, alone. Aren't you worried about me?" I said slowly and giving emphasis to the words trying to imply something. Well I can't help it. We don't know the guy anymore. He's not the Wes Jefferson we used to know and love. I mean he looks like a rebel of some sort, he even dyed his hair black. How I missed that blond curly hair of his. Who knows what he is capable to do now, the guy might even have criminal records that we didn't even know about and their leaving me behind with him.
"You do know the guy have broken bones all over his body." Jake suddenly appeared out of nowhere and took the seat right next to me.
"If there's someone we need to worry about it's definitely him. Who knows what you'll do to him." Drake chimed in. Oh great! The annoying duo appeared!
I glared at my brothers and they laughed at the same time. I was about to say something but stopped when mom called my attention.
"Honey.." She stopped from cooking to look at me properly. "It's not like we want to leave you behind. Its just that.." Her voice was soft and serious at the same time. "You see, Wes is-" She paused for a bit looking for the right words."Wes is in a difficult situation right now and he's having a hard time. He doesn't have anyone right now but us." Mom looked so concerned and sad at the same time. What does she meant by that? He doesn't have anyone? Where is Mrs. Jefferson? I stared at her trying to read her expression and it looks like she knows something but I don't know why but it seems she couldn't tell me what it is.
"Yeah and you made sure of that." One of the twin said.
"Breaking all of his bone definitely he's having a hard time." The other one said and laughed at the same time. Seriously if they don't stop being annoying, they're the ones whose going to have broken bones.
They only stopped laughing when mom glared at them. They both stood up and left the kitchen. Bunch of cowards.
"I've already talked to your aunt. She understands the situation. Wes is like a family, you know that. You're inseparable when you were younger. He need someone right now." There was something on the way mom said it.
"Mom is there-" I was about to ask her but I was interrupted when the twins called out from the living room.
"Dad's here!" The twin shouted in unison.
