Where is he!? I've been waiting for far too long. The short, blond-headed boy tapped his foot impatiently, occasionally checking his watch and looking from left to right in hopes that the man he was looking for had arrived yet. This boy, Touma Akechi, was an interesting young lad. With a peculiar haircut that ressembled a bob and deep violet eyes, he was not one who was considered attractive to the average female. Though, luckily for him, he wasn't interested in females. As he stood in front of the restaurant, he slowy became more and more angry. That was until he finally arrived; Kusuke Saiki, genius and inventor. He approached his loved one, Akechi, wearing a well-tailored suit and brightly polished leather shoes. As the two boys made eye contact, Kusuke noticed the angered look in Touma's eyes. He approached Touma quickly and placed his hands on his shoulders.
'Listen, darling, I-'
'I do not want to hear it from you anymore, Kusuke. This is the seventh time you have been late to one of our outings! I even arrived here ten minutes late, hoping that I would at least be here at the same time as you! Are your inventions more important than me? More important than our love? You know that Kusuo wouldn't-'
'Do not bring up Kusuo.' Kusuke barked, interrupting Touma for what seemed to be the first time ever. Touma froze in shock for a moment, he had rarely been interrupted before, most likely because he spoke so fast that when people were listening to him, they couldn't process anything. But, since the two had been together for a year, Kusuke must have gotten used to it. Letting a soft sigh escape, Kusuke reached into the pocket of his suit and pulled out a box. Touma gasped.
'Is that a ring? Is this a proposal? Kusuke, I believe that we both know that I'm far too young to get married, s-so are you! I think we should take things a little slower, don't you think? Maybe..starting with arriving at dates on time, how about that? I think that seems better than a p-proposal..And you know that almost fifty percent of married people end up getting divorced! What if we get divorced? That will be way worse than just a breakup, there will be papers involved and perhaps even court if we wanted to get custody involved, and you know that we would never want to agree on anything.' He gulped and stepped back. Kusuke opened the box to reveal the ring. It obviously wasn't a regular ring, it seemed like one of his odd inventions again.
'The reason why I was so late, was because I stayed up making this for you.' He explained, taking the ring out of the box and grabbing Touma's hand. The ring slipped onto Touma's right middle finger perfectly and he observed it for a moment.
'What does it do? Will it freeze my hand? Or..will it allow you to read my mind like Kusuo?' He inquired.
'No. It's not that complicated.' Kusuke clicked the button on the side of the ring and a small (what the fuck do i put here) hologram of the two together appeared. Touma took a moment to admire it. He recognized it from their very first date.
We looked so young and in love. What happened? He thought. He felt Kusuke's cool hand touch his chin and slowly tilt his head up.
'Happy one year anniversary, my darling. I love you.' His whisper was music to Touma's ears.
'I-...I love you too.' Touma smiled warmly and jumped up into Kusuke's arms, allowing their lips to meet. Now he knew that being late wasn't always a bad thing. The End.
(I really hate myself for this /srs.)
