Ch.8 Lifetime Prisoner

■Y/N's POV■

Today is December 31, mother helps me put on my Yukata.

Shuri: alright, all set... look at my baby, so pretty

Y/N: thank you mother...

I look at myself in the mirror, the Yukata I'm wearing was given by Daichi's mother on my last birthday. Daichi and I have been together for almost two years by now. Our families are close to each other too.

Today both Daichi and my Family are planing on spending our new years eve together.

My family head to the hill where a new years festival is held. As I entered the area, a familiar voice is heard.

Daichi's mom: Y/N~ everyone... here...

It's Daichi's mom and family, we come closer and greet them.

Shuri: have you guys been waiting for a long time?

Daichi's dad: no, we're just arrived... but Daichi and his siblings came earlier to find a spot for us...

So that's why I can't find Daichi around...

Shuri: well, let's go to them...

We walk through the crowd heading to where Daichi's father leads us to.

Shuri: oh! Yakisoba, Daichi's mom would you like to grab some?

Daichi's mom: sure! Honey help us brings the yakisoba

Shuri: you too Shoji... Y/N sweetie, can you go first?

Y/N: ah, okay but I don't know where the place is

Daichi's brother1: ah Y/N nee

Daichi's mom: oooh look, my son knows the place, can you accompany your sister there? Parents need to buy food for their children

Shuri: indeed~

Daichi's brother tells me to follow him and so I did. I'm close to Daichi's siblings, all of them are nice. I like the atmosphere with them, probably because I'm an only child.

Daichi's brother 1: ah, Y/N nee... I think I saw my friends over there... do you mind if I see them for a bit? Nii san is on top of this stairs.

Y/N: ah sure... be careful

With that i was left alone and climbs the stairs. It's kind of dark so I walk fast, but then just before I reach the top, I miss my step and fall forward.

I close my eyes waiting for the impact, but not the hard ground that I meet, a warm strong body caught me in time. The familiar scent makes me recognize the person who caught me right away.

I look up and see Daichi's worried face.

Daichi: are you alright?

Seeing him always calm me down.

Y/N: yes Daichi... thank you...

■Daichi's PoV■

I hold Y/N's hand as I walk her to the spot that me and my siblings found. This is quite a good place because it's not filled with a lot of people yet.

Y/N: um where's the other?

Daichi: ah that's...

Actually I feel bad that Y/N had to climb the stairs alone earlier. That's why the moment I hear footsteps, I approaches and thankfully I came because Y/N almost trip.

Both iur parents and my siblings aren't here yet was because of my request.

Daichi: um Y/N let's go first, they'll be here soon...
