The Other Side

Key to who sings what in this oneshot:

Nate = regular text

Matt = Italic text

Now, ONTO THE ONESHOT!

"Hey, Matt" Nate spoke softly to his boyfriend who's head was laying in the ebony's lap with his eyes closed

"Hm?" The brunette hummed in response as he lazily opened his eyes to looked up at Nate

"You wanna make a song cover together?" The ebony asked with a small smile

Matt perked up at this, sitting up completely and looking at Nate, "you sure?"

"Yea! The fans seemed to love the Pokémon Johto cover we did. Plus they go nuts when I'm on your livestreams" Nate chuckled lightly, "hell, we'll even make a music video for it"

"Ok then, yea. Let's make a song cover" Matt smiled, "you got a song in mind?"

"I was thinking 'The Other Side' by Jason Derulo"

"Hm I don't think I've heard that song before" Matt thought for a moment, "ok, let's do it"

And so the process began. Nate looked up the cords for the song, learning them while Matt listened to the song to try and memorise the lyrics

Eventually, the day of shooting the music video came. There were camera's set up everywhere and people running about almost frantically

"Nate! Matt!" A woman holding a clipboard called out to the couple who had just walked in, "your both wanted in makeup"

"Ok, thank you" Nate gave a nod of thanks while Matt gave a warm smile before both men headed off to get their makup done

"Alright! Ready in 3, 2, 1, ACTION!"

Nate began strumming his guitar as he sang, "In the beginning" He kept his gaze down for a moment, looking at his guitar, "I never thought it would be you"

Matt smiled softly as he looked out a prop window, acting like he was deep in thought while the camera was on him. Leaning against the windowsill, he let out a small sigh

"When we were chillin" Nate continued to sing, "smiling in the photo booth" He finally looked up from his guitar and gave a small smile, "But we got closer 'til you were eating off my spoon"

Getting up from the stool, Nate walked over to Matt as he continued to strum away on his guitar, "and coming over"

Matt pretended to jump in fright as he heard Nate's voice behind him, turning around, he gave the ebony a smile as he sang the next line

"And we would talk all afternoon" Nate finally stopped playing his guitar and offered his hand to Matt, who gladly took it, letting the ebony pull him up from the chair he was sitting in.

"Tonight we'll just get drunk" Matt joined in with Nate, singing along to the lyrics that were playing in his earpiece, "disturb the peace"

Nate smirked slightly as he gently pulled his hand away from Matt's. He then swung his guitar around on the strap so that it landed on his back before grabbing Matt's hand and pulling him closer, "find your hands all over me" Both men sang along while Nate twirled Matt around
