Chapter 2: The Best Friend

The next morning I woke up to a warm feeling over my waist.
"Huh!?" I said.
"What are you going on about this early of a morning?" Rin said waking up next to me.
"What are you doing in my room?!"
"No what are you doing in MY room?"
"What?"
"You came in here though the night and you just went to sleep."
"Why didn't you wake me!"
"Well you looked nice sleeping so..."
"Okay any way, bye, sorry bout last night."
"Bye."
I Got ready for the day and then my phone rang.
"Hey whisper what are you doing today?" My friend, Riley asked.
"Oh, um I'm going on a date for lunch."
"With who?"
"You know Jorden Patterson?"
"Well aren't you a winner!"
"Thanks! See you later."
"Bye."
"Hey, Whisper." Said Rin .
"Hi..." I said with suspicion.
"You can't go on a date today."
"And why not?"
"We're going to the park for lunch, we do it every Saturday."
"Oh, well just cancel, I'm going to get ready for my date. You can stop me if you're jealous."
"And why would I be jealous, and what of?"
"Oh okay be that way then!" I said jokingly.
We both let out a little laugh.
"Okay, can you leave now I'm gonna get ready for my date." I Said.
"Okay, but you're telling mum." Said Rin.
"Okay, okay."
I came down stairs with heels and and short, plain black dress on.
"Okay, let's go now, Rin." I Said as I was heading out the door.
"Where are you going?" Asked Bethany.
"Oh, Rin and I are going to the pool , didn't he tell you?"
"No, he didnt."
"Okay, then now you do."
"Okay let's go." Rin said who had been standing quietly up until now.
Rin and I were halfway to the pool, we had been walking because neither one of us had a drivers licence.
"Umm, why did you say I was going to the pool with you, I thought you said you have a date." Said Rin .
"Oh, I did have a date I canceled and were not going to the pool." I Said mater-of-factly.
"So where are we going?"
"Well I knew you wouldn't want to go to the park with you parents so..."
"Thanks, it would be embarrassing if someone saw me."
"Yeah.. Anyway we're going shopping instead!"
"Shopping?!"
"Yep, you need to change you fashion style, isn't that great!"
"Well anything would beat the park."
"See you gonna love this!"
"Wow look at this!" I Said picking out clothes for Rin .
"It's okay..." replied Rin .
"Okay go try it on."
"Okay."
"Okay we'll get this thanks."
"Okay would you like to wear this on your date?" Asked the cashier
"Of course! Yes please he would love to!"
"Okay, that's $40 thanks!"
"$40!, Whisper that's all of your money, don't get it." Butted Rin .
"Nonsense, I'm getting it for you!"
"Fine.."
"Now let's get some lunch!"
"Okay, I'm paying though!"
"Okay!"
"What do you want?"
"Hmmm, how bout sushi?"
"That's what I was thinking!"
"Really wow! Come on."
After eating lunch Rin and I walked back home.
"Wow what a great day!" I said to myself as soon as I got to my room.
My phone rang, "Where were you!?" Yelled Riley.
"What do you mean?" I Asked, totally confused.
"I saw you at the shops with Rin!"
"What?!"
"What happened to Jorden!"
"Oh... Rin needed a fashion change so I bought him some clothes."
"Then why were you holding hands?"
"What?!"
"Anyway, I have to go see you later."
"Bye."
"What was all the shouting about?" Asked Rin.
"Oh, my friend saw us at the shops."
"What?!"
"Yep and apparently we were holding hands!"
"No!"
"Yep."
"Any way I have some thing to talk to you about."
"Okay, what's that?"
"Would you-"
"We're home!" Called out Bethany.
"Oh sorry what was that?" I Asked.
"Never mind..." Said Rin.
"No it seemed important."
"Just forget it! It was stupid of me to even ask!"
"So you're yelling at me! So it's all my fault!"
"No it not your fault...."
"Out! Just get out!"
"I'm sorry...."
"I said out!"
As soon as Rin left I cried until I fell asleep.
The next day it was a school day, I didn't talk to Rin at all, then the next day and the next until a week.

"Whisper please talk to me." Said Rin.
"...." I had nothing to say to Rin.
"Please! it's been a week, why can't you just forgive me!"
"Okay I forgive you...."
"Thank you!" Rin said and picked me up off the ground and hugged me so tightly I could barely breath.
"I'm sorry I didn't talk to you for a week..." I said hugging back Rin as tightly.
