Chapter 4- That Song

Mia's P.O.V.

'Your hand fits in mine like it's made just for me

But bear this in mind, it was meant to be

And I'm joining up the dots with the freckles on your cheeks

And it all makes sense to me' 

The boys began singing in unison a song a friend had written for them. It was beautiful, every lyric made me weak and proud to be me. The whole song Niall had his eyes glued to me, like he was in some sort of trance, I was blushing so much i swear my cheeks were burning. Niall got to his solo part and stared into my blue eyes, as if he was looking into my soul, i stared back at him. 

'You'll never love yourself half as much as I love you

And you'll never treat yourself right darlin' but I want you to

If I let you know I'm here for you

Maybe you'll love yourself like I love you'

As he strummed his guitar one last time he snapped out of his gaze and looked down at his feet. I smiled and clapped. Harry bowed and waved his arms around jokingly whilst Niall just got up and put his guitar against the wall. 

"So would did you think?" Niall said seriously as if hoping i would say that i did.

"That was amazing, it's such a beautiful song and you guys made it even better," I replied,

"Thank you, thank you very much," Harry said bowing one more time,

"Your turn, Mi, Harry told me you sing." Niall caught me off guard, no one except Harry and my mum called me that and i'd hoped that no one would find out about my past in singing, it brought back to many memories. 

"Nooo, i cant sing at all,"

"But Harry said you were Miss Junior Vocalist or something," He said confused,

"I was Miss Junior Vocalist, but i .." He interupted me,

"Come on Mia, im not the strongest singer but i still have a go, come on,"

"Ahh alright then, only one song, thats it,"

"What song dyou want then?" Niall asked,

"How bout 'Fix a Heart' by Demi Lovato, you know the one, well i did that for a gig recently," I replied,

"Perfect" 

Niall's P.O.V.

"3...2...1. " I signaled her to go, as i pressed record, she didn't know i was recording but i had a feeling that she was going to be amazing. I had seen the video of her winning the vocal competion, she had an amazing voice. 

'It's probably what's best for you

I only want the best for you

And if I'm not the best then you're stuck

I tried to sever ties and I ended up with wounds to bind

Like you're pouring salt in my cuts'

Wow she was incredible, she hit every note perfectly and had so much emotion in her voice, it was a shame she didn't see how talented she was. 

'And I just ran out of band-aids

I don't even know where to start

'Cause you can bandage the damage

You never really can fix a heart'

It was like she had experienced every lyric in the song, she was hurting, i could feel it. This song must really relate to her in some way. I just wanted to scoop her up and cradle her all day and night, protect her from everything coming her way and listen to that incredible voice. Listening to her breath and her heart beat. In your dreams Niall, i thought, she was too good for me and after what had happened last year i don't think she would even like me, and i was only that new guy.But nothing could stop me from staring into those deep blue eyes, they were so magical and mysterious, i wonder why this song made her so emotional.

Hey Guys,

I know its weird to be doing an authors note when i haven't even got many readers or votes yet, if someone was to give me my first vote i would most definetly dedicate a whole chapter to them. Thank you to anyone who has spent the time and effort reading my first few chapters, just a short one here but i wanted to clear up some stuff.

This story is not based on real events. Later in the book i am probably going to introduce other members of One Direction but how they met wont be based on how one direction actually was formed. I know the story is a bit jumbled up with what is true and not true but i am just pulling out things i like from 1D's earlier years, not putting my characters into 1D's actual lives. Please bear with me! This book is going to be a Romance with some tragedy, it will not be the same old story as in every Romance fanfic but i guarantee that it will make you feel something. 

Every time i see a new reader i have a little celebration. Thank you for reading this far and i hope you continue to read and hopefully enjoy this story.
