harry's pov

"They're definitely in the area," Zoe argued. "You've seen the trackers, Harry."

"We've already beat their asses before and we can do it again." I stood up from the chair in anger. Everybody looked up at me with raised eyebrows. I gave an apologetic smile and sat back down, my hands clenched into fists.

"This isn't like last time, Harry. They're actually smart this time." Zoe bit down on her ink pen and some people laughed at her last comment. Zoe smiled wide, basking in the positive attention.

Niall raised his hand to speak and I nodded, allowing him to speak. "If we just tighten our patrol on our armory, savings, vehicles, and locations we should be fine."

"And what if that isn't fine?" Zayn pushed, his eyes expectant. I felt the temperature drop.

I ran a hand through my hair, pushing off my forehead. "It'll be fine. We've been doing this long enough." I assured him, leaning back in my chair. "Louis, assign a new rotation for a tighter patrol on savings, vehicles, locations, and armory."

"Got it," Louis nodded.

"If anything else comes up, we'll start an investigation." I dismissed the meeting and everybody began to talk.

I stood up from the chair with a grunt. I should get home, I didn't feel like dealing with anybody today.

I wasn't paying that much attention to the meeting, I kept thinking about Liv the whole time. Every word she said hit me hard, too hard. So hard that I didn't want to believe the truth in her words.

Fuck, does she get on my last nerves.

Zoe came over to me before I could exit. She rested a small hand on my arm, her big eyes widening sympathetically. "Are you alright? You seem out of it."

"That's because I am," I growled at her.

"Ouch," she winced at my words and I took a deep breath.

I tried to apologize and she said it was okay.

"Is this about Liv? How's she doing?" She squeezed my bicep excitedly.

I was beginning to get a headache.

"She's fine," I shrugged.

I looked down at Zoe, who was looking down at her shoes sadly. I sighed loudly, trying to soften my impossible tone. "I didn't mean to sound angry-"

"No, I'm just nervous." She shook her head.

"About...?"

"I just feel like something's going to happen. Something bad."

I gave a small smile, placing my hands on her narrow shoulders to comfort her. She looked up at me, her light brown eyes pleading for reassurance that I wasn't sure I could offer.

"Zoe, we're going to be fine. We don't even know that this is a threat."

"I don't know," her face paled. "None of us know."

"We will be fine."

"You know what I think?" she paused, her eyes sparkling with fear. Her voice was almost a whisper. "I think Callum's still alive."

I furrowed my eyebrows like she was insane. "Callum's dead, I watched him die." I felt my heart pound at the sound of his name.

Zoe opened her mouth to speak but I shook my head, and she respected me enough not to say anything else.
