The Musutafu Orphanage, a place people would often come to and give the orphanage their newborns, a common reason being because the parents wouldn't be able to financially support them thanks to the parents being fresh adults. But there have been older adults who, for one reason or another, decided to give up their child. This is the story about one of those children.
Rain. That's all that was pouring outside, early in the morning, around 5 am, for the city of Musutafu. The wind was strong, not strong enough to cause any major damage but strong enough to keep the light sleepers awake.
The rain was a nice comfort for the light sleepers however, it allowed some of them to get back to sleep. The weather hadn't been forgiving for the city in the past week, there were multiple heavy storms throughout the week which meant that there were people who weren't able to get to work.
The weather report said that the weather would be calming down, and it seems like the weather has been calming down in the past hours, with the wind slowly but surely slowing down.
After three hours the weather had fully calmed down, and now that the weather had calmed down and brought to a stop, the faint cries of a baby could be heard outside of the orphanage which alerted one of the caretakers.
The lady had rushed to the front door and opened it after she heard the cries of the baby, she looked down at the child who was wrapped in a blanket in a basket, along with a note on it saying "Please look after my child, his name is Izuku and I can't look after him. I have left him here at 6 am, please do not try to contact me".
The woman had read the note and picked up Izuku, gently poking his cheek which made the previously crying Izuku calm down as she walked inside. The woman saw that the note said "I have left him here at 6 am", meaning that the child could have gotten sick. She walked to the lit fireplace in the lounge of the orphanage and sat down in-front of it, making sure that Izuku warmed up.
A year had passed since Izuku was left at the orphanage, and despite the child being a year old, he hadn't gotten adopted, until this fateful day. It was an ordinary day for the orphanage, adults and parents came to the orphanage to adopt a child, each of them looked at Izuku but none decided to adopted him.
They each had their own reason but there was a clear majority, they didn't want a child who was only one year old, they didn't want to feed him formula or, if they were a recently turned mother, breastfeed him.
Hours passed as only three children had gotten adopted that day, the caretakers started to worry that Izuku wouldn't get adopted, that was until a family came in with a blue haired girl. The girl kept telling her parents that she wanted a younger brother, one she could love and care for.
"Please please pleeeeeaaaase can I get a younger brother pleeeeaaaaseee?"
"Nejire we have already told you, your going to get a brother just wait"
"Yay! I get a brother"The girl was ecstatic about getting a younger brother, she had always wanted a sibling since she was three, and now that her mother confirmed that she would be getting one, she couldn't help but brightly smile.
Her and her parents looked at all the children at the orphanage and her let Nejire decide on who they adopted. She spent her time looking at them until she came upon Izuku, the little boy let out a small noise as he saw Nejire, he reached his little arms out towards Nejire who gently picked him up. She turned towards her parents and smiled, it was clear that she wanted Izuku as her younger brother, her parents knew that.
After filling out the adoption paperwork, Nejire and her parents left the orphanage with Nejire's new younger brother, she kept smiling and giggling as she poked Izuku's cheek. It was clear that Izuku was going to have a wonderful childhood.
