" Judy ..... We didn't finish there.....why ale we goin back??? .... pwease let's go thele...."
Alen whined clutching at the handle of the bycycle ( Jaiden can still control it don't ask how😁) .
" I'm sorry baby... but we can't go back. It's getting late and we have to get back home....please Alen ... try to understand"
Jaiden tried to console the sad little boy.
" No...no...no.... pwease ...let's go back.... I didn say bye bye to them.... We didn buy anything ....I ...I don wanna go..... pwease Judy...."
Alen's voice broke and his sniffling and broken sobs made it clear that he was crying.
" Please baby don't cry.... It's getting late so we can't go back. I promise I will take you another time...that too soon... Martha, Jill and every one will be afraid if we got late...Alen don't want that right?!!? "
" Plomise?? Judy will take Alen again ?? "
" Ofcourse I will... I won't lie to you baby....so be a good boy that you are and stop crying ok?"
Alen nodded his head and with that Jaiden regained his speed and pedaled faster but careful through the busy City streets.
Alen Was sad and was thus whining but we can't blame him. Poor little child had patiently waited for a whole week for this but he couldn't have it as he wished. He was actually having a great time there with the group of friendly strangers, so was Jaiden. But while enjoying he forgot to keep a track on time. One glance at the wrist watch had his entire mood change in to a state of panick. He was told to get back to the orphanage till 4:30 and it was already 4:10 .
He knew it was impossible to reach the orphanage within 20 minutes but he tried to pedal fast. Their warden was a lady of her stubborn words. Don't know what she had against him, making Jaiden's life more complicated was her favourite hobi. Doesn't matter whatever he does she always finds something by which she could belittle him. But he couldn't say all these to Alen for how is he supposed to make this child understand the complications of adult life. ??!
Turning in to the familiar path his mind filled with fear and anxiety. He didn't knew what would be his punishment if she got to know, especially Alen's missing case. He hope Alen wouldn't spill anything. Sweaty hands tightened the grip over the handle and his aching feets struggled to move the pedal faster which was difficult with his dry throat and squeezing lungs .
The big metalic gates of the huge building came to his view and he felt his heart rate pick up for a different reason. Getting through the opened gate he parked his bycycle in its usual spot, all the while praying to all up above to not let her be there. But when was luck on his side?, for there she was sitting in the wooden bunch in the lawn.
Getting up from her seat warden slowly made her way towards Jaiden who had his head hung low. Anyone could tell from his tense body posture how terrified he was at that moment. Sensing her anger Alen turned around hugging Jaiden's leg ,turning his face away from her glare.
" Martha.....!!!"
She called out. Raising her voice intentionally which had Jaiden flinch back. He didn't dared to look up to meet her gaze for he was oh so aware of her glare even now.
Martha ran towards them with a sympathetic look on her face. She desperately wanted to help her favourite kid but she had no power against her.
" Yes ma'am"
" Take Alen inside we have something to discuss."
" Ok ma'am. "
Hearing this Alen tightened his grip around Judy's leg for he didn't wanted to leave him there. He might be a toddler but he didn't like this lady and he feared she would hurt his Judy. Martha stayed there hesitant to do anything.
