Ben and I were just about to fight.
Mom bought chocolate and strawberry ice cream- my brother and I like chocolate.

"Sky, give the chocolate to your brother. He is seven and you're eighteen. I'd appreciate if you'd start acting like a seventeen year old." My mother said.

Narrowing her eyes at me, she came over and snatched the chocolate flavor quickly before I got to it.

"Here." She said and handed the ice cream to my younger brother.

My brother looked at me, smiled then smirked- he does this when everything goes his way.
If he doesn't get what he wants he'll cry until my mom feels guilty and gives it to him.

It has been a week since we moved. Summer is almost ending. Thank God that my school is nearby. It's still closed so I couldn't get to see inside.

Psssh... Who cares?

I was never really interested in school anyway. I was so happy... That my new school is still closed.

"I ain't got 'No Type
Bad bitches is the only thing that I like.
You ain't got no life
Cups with the ice and we do this every night..."

My alarm sang.

I hit it with my hand until it finally stopped singing.

When I looked at the time my eyes grew into huge saucers.

I sat up and put my hand over my face trying to get my eyes away from the sun that was shining through my window.

After getting myself together I got up and finished my daily routine.

One last look in the mirror, a smile and some consciousness minutes later I was outside in my mom's car for my lift to school.

10 minutes later and I finally reached school. I got out the car, then waved goodbye to my mom.

As I was walking into my new school I began feeling self conscious. I took my little time getting used to the place.

When I was walking down the hallway I could hear some boys in a group whispering behind me.

I had to force myself to keep walking and to not turn around and give them the finger.

I kept telling myself that I need to make a good impression on the first day and as a new student.

"The school board assigned a student to show you around and get settled. She should be here any minute now." - the old- looking secretary informed me.

Within seconds, a girl opens the door to the office and the secretary introduced her as my guide. "Hi," she greets with a wide grin that makes her look even more adorable. "Hi," I wanted to sound confident , but it comes out more like a whisper. "I'll show you to your locker first so you can put your things away, and then we can go from there?" she asks, motioning towards my backpack and coat. "Yeah, sure, that sounds great." she leads the way out of the office and down the hall.

"I'm Haley by the way, what's your name?" "It's...uh... Sky" I smiled awkwardly. "So um, did you just move here?" I struggled to make sure the sadness wasn't evident in my voice, "Yup, just last week.."

"Are you missing someone?...Like a friend, or a boy...or a boyfriend?"

"No" I'm gonna tell her One of my biggest secrets, I don't know why, but I feel that I can trust her .

"I never had a boyfriend, I'm kind the forever alone girl and I hope that changes here"

With a soft voice she answered, "I feel ya" Her voice comforted me a little. I was afraid how I would do.

I didn't know anybody in my classes. On the first day, I went to my second period class after I had missed my first. I was already confused because in California the teachers switch according to periods while most of the students have the same periods.

With anxiety on one hand and fear on the other, I reached for the door knob, opening it slowly. Everyone's eyes were on me as I entered the room. Without paying attention to them, I went straight to the teacher and asked if this was the right class.

she gave me a sheet called Course Requirements, which I would never get in California because we didn't have anything like that. Then she asked me to choose where I would sit. I chose the seat closest to the door instead of the corner where all of the boys were sitting. I didn't actually want to pick a seat. In California we had assigned seats, so I never needed to worry about that. I spent the rest of the class taking notes from the image produced by the overhead projector.

"Miss Clarke, would you please come to me and speak a little about yourself? "

I snapped out of my trance, as I reached her, I didn't know what to say. But she kept pushing me to at least say a few words. "My name is Sky Clarke, I used to live in California. I'm a bored person, thanks"

Earning chuckles from my last sentence, I returned to my seat.

Since it was my first day, I was confused which hallway to use, but I managed to get to my classes without asking anyone. I was very confused about when I would have lunch.

"Sky" a voice stopped me from walking, it was Haley, she came over to me with a few friends. "So.... I heard all the boys are talking about the new hot girl"

I don't know if I should keep writing .
