"So, my king tell me? who was the most unfortunate in this tale," rishi Vikram asked while looking at Akash for a moment.
Akash thinks for a moment and after taking a deep breath says " the most unfortunate one was not mata Kunti or the child but lord Surya".
Rishi Vikram asks why? To which Akash replies " what was Surya dev fault in all this? He was neither immature like Kunti nor helpless like Karn, he knew his child's fate going forward would be harsh but he was enchained by fate and had to do what was asked of him. And now he had watched his newborn be abandoned to die in River Ganga."
"True my king, lord Surya was silent when all this happened. His heart was in a storm, Filled with sorrow, rage, and most of with guilty of being part of such a crime." Told sage in a sorrowful voice.
"So now the next person you have to listen to is him," He said mischievously.
"So who better to listen to than the one who sees it all from the sky and gives his blessing to us in form of light."
Saying so Rishi Vikram again started his narration. And Akash listened.

You see times are different now my king, the gods are no longer able to instill their will on the mortal world as they were able to once in the past.
This came with its own merits namely free will and
human's right to change their future as they saw fit with their choices.
but some used this freedom to do Adharma as well.
And now the gods were only able to watch and influence people to the right path. But they were only willing to help those who praise them or those who they saw as beneficial for their agendas
But, soon were bored of doing even that and left humanity to their demise.
But one was watching from the heavens, one who is still watching.
Suryanarayana saw the atrocious that was being imposed on his helpless son, one who was not able to even fight back. And was angered but showed no sign of his internal fury on his face.
Rather than being pessimistic about his son's situation he chooses to understand her mother's reasoning and forgive her.
but was still perplexed by his son's situation. He was seeing him die in front of him. How could he not do something?
So he used what little influence he had in the mortal world to save his son. He called Devi Ganga and asked her to rescue him from drowning in her. She answers Surya's call and appeared to save whom he asked protection for.
While holding the baby she was mesmerized by his pure aura and asked Surya dev about him,
"Lord Surya who is this child's parent how could they even imagine leaving him to die. Who is his cruel mother? Who is his heartless father? Who was able to do so? Please tell me, Lord Surya."
She questions, as she could not comprehend how anyone could be so cruel to such an innocent-looking kid that was God's blessing for many parents. Or maybe because she remembered her past when she had to kill 7 of her child to fulfill a curse and felt grief.
With a somber expression and smile of self-pity, he answers
"he is my son Devi Ganga and unfortunately it is I who has to abandon him to this cruel world."
She was shocked by hearing this. She could not understand how could he have a mortal son and why he had to leave him on earth.Who was his mother why did she not raise him under her protection?
But Surya dev did not feel like burdening her with the secrets of Kunti sins. So he told her nothing and remained silent. She was enraged by his silence and said
"if you can not take responsibility for him then I will, I will be his Guardian and protector," she announced.
But lord Surya told her, his fate does not lie with her. she must not get attached to him.
"But how can I not Prabhu, just looking at him makes me want to take him under my care and raise him as my own" she replies as some sought of a motherly instinct had awakened within her.
Surya dev was bewildered by Devi's answer and thought for a moment before saying, " you are right Devi Ganga. He has not even been feed till. I know I am asking too much from you would you be kind enough to be his wet nurse for tonight only". She happily obliges and but also says that like his father he also has a responsibility toward him and he should give him something to protect him in this world.
"You are right Devi Ganga, I will bless him with the Kundal that was given to me by my father. They are special and would help him when he needs it."
Ok, so that's how he got his famous fresh golden earrings. I have heard much about them but never really understood their powers. Mind telling me about guru Jii. Asked Akash interrupting rishi Vikram.
My king, there is a time for everything. so when the time comes I will explain it to you. But for now, wait and listen to what I have to say, ok. Said rishi Vikram for rudely interrupting him.
And so Surya dev gave his special Kundal to his son. And told Devi Ganga that she has to only care for him tonight and as the dawn comes tomorrow she has to leave him on the banks of the river. After that, his fate will take him to his future family.
Devi Ganga was sad after hearing this but knew she had to accept this. And took him to her domain underwater.
She showered him with pure love, kissed his cheeks, snuggled him in her arms. She was having the time of her life feeling like a mother again.
She could feel how happy he was. his smile was infectious she loved it. she bet that he would grow up to be a handsome man.
She felt that morning had started late today. Maybe Lord Surya also wanted him to stay here longer.
But now she also had prepared herself to leave him which was no easy task. She could not stop crying as she left him on the shore while making sure he was safe.
Now she had to leave but not before giving her blessing.
"My son, you will have my blessing with always I assure you that no matter what happens I will always stand by your side as a shield and when the time compels me too I will also be your sword."
Saying so she leaves him there alone but hides and waits to see with whom his destiny lies.
And in no time,
She saw a man approach the basket. And She was shocked again by the man that has decided to take care of her son. She didn't know to cry or be happy but that's destiny.
