"Katsuki, c'mon! It's so late, and sleep is good!" Eijirou whined, pulling Katsuki's cape to prevent him from leaving the comfort of their set up near a cave.

"Relax, you overgrown lizard. We finally made it out of the village and don't have anything blocking us from seeing the stars." Katsuki said, ripping Eijirou's claws from his cape as he walked towards the opening of the cave. The area they had discovered was perfect, with a sparkling, running stream, enough vegetation to keep themselves hidden, and wasn't too far from a local village, which they could visit if necessary.

"Yeah, but can't we do that tomorrow? We had to walk so much today, and I had to catch the food!"

"You didn't have to, you just complained about how you wanted to."

"Well... yeah, but still!" Eijirou said, standing up from the furs and leaves he was laying against and walking over to the blonde. He picked one of the furs up and draped it against his shoulders. "At least take this, I wouldn't want you getting sick." He adjusted it against broad shoulders, letting go and smiling when it stayed.

Katsuki scoffed and ripped them off, handing them back to Eijirou. "I'll set up a fire, Ei. I'll be fine."

Eijirou rolled his eyes at his lover's callow disposition. He took the furs and wrapped them around his own shoulders, sticking his hand outside the cave. It wasn't all that algid outside, but enough so that the warmth of a fire and furs would suit better. He stepped foot outside, smiling as he grabbed Katsuki's hand and led him outside. Their temporary setup just consisted of a circle of rocks enclosing a pile of sticks laying against one another in a cone shape.

"I guess we're gonna watch together then." Eijirou led them to the soft grass and sat down, gesturing for Katsuki to do the same. He tentatively sat down got close to the hybrid, their biceps touching. Katsuki felt one of Eijirou's wings brushing against his back, something oddly comforting.

"Wow, there are... a lot of stars out here." Eijirou said, looking up to the dark sky speckled with sparkling luminaries. Back where Katsuki had grown up there were always trees and houses blocking angles to see the stars, which made this experience so much greater.

"Yeah. There are." Katsuki said as he looked around, remembering stories about them he had read in his youth. He grabbed his lover's hand and pointed at the stars. "Ya see those? The three stars in a row there?"

Eijirou's ruby eyes followed, seeing it. "Oh yeah, that's pretty weird."

"That's Orion's belt. And you see that one bright blue star?"

"Uh huh."

"That's rigel. See the red one?"

"Ooh, yeah!"

"That one's called Betelgeuse."

Eijrou turned to look over at the blonde. "People... people drink-"

"No, idiot. It's spelled a different way."

"Oh, that's good." Eijirou said as he laughed, looking back up to the sky. "What's it called?"

"Huh?"

"That constellation, what's it called?"

"Oh, it's Orion. It's supposed to be some hunter guy, I think."

"Ooh. What's that one over there?" Eijirou pointed to another spot in the sky, and crimson eyes followed.

"That ones Cancer, supposed to be a crab."

"Huh? How's that a crab?"

"I dunno, looks like a wishbone or something." Katsuki shrugged his shoulders and looked around more. "Look this way. If you follow the belt, you can see Taurus. S'pposed to be a bull or something."

"Looks like another wishbone." Eijirou said as his chin hooked on his lover's shoulder, getting a closer look at the stars.

"Yeah."

"What about that triangle-looking one?" Katsuki turned his head back to Eijirou's direction, looking where he was pointing.

"Triangulum, I think."

"Really? They could've gotten more creative with that one." Eijirou said as he furrowed his brows.

"What would you've called it?"

"I don't know, I would've given it a cute name. Like... Like Red something!"

"Damn, that name sucks. It's not even red." Katsuki said as he smirked, watching Eijirou laughed.

"Well what would you've called it?"

"King Explosion Murder."

"Eh, too violent."

"I think it's cool." Katsuki said as he leaned closer to Eijirou, using the fur to keep him warmer.

"Whatever, what's that one called? With the really bright star?"

"The star's Sirius, and-"

"Yeah, but what's it called?" Eijirou said, with a teasing smile on his face as he waiting for Katsuki to understood what he said. Katsuki eventually rolled his eyes.

"That was terrible."

"Eh, I thought it was good."

"The star is named Sirius, and the Canus Major, it's a dog."

"That's a pretty weird dog name, what about Max, or.... Or Cooper, or something."

"I don't know, guess they used to name their dogs weird."

"Huh." Eijirou said, as he leaned against the blonde, yawning.

"Wanna head back in?"

"Huh, why?"

"Well you're about to fall asleep."

Eijirou shook his spot from his spot against Katsuki's chest, yawning once more. "Nope, 'm wide awake."

"Alright, sure. Good night."

"Katsk'i, 'm awake."

"You're about to fall asleep."

"Mmm..." Eijirou whined. Trying to keep his eyes open. "See, awake."

"Whatever, idiot." Katsuki muttered as he felt soft snores against his chest. He spent a little longer out there before picking up his sleeping partner and carrying him inside the cave, laying him against their furs.

If he had smiled while giving the other a kiss on matted, red hair, he would never admit to it.
