Chapter 1
"Jenna don't stay out too late okay? And keep your hair in a braid, I don't want you bringing back any lice with you from those girls. "
"Okay mom, I know, love you bye" I said trying to go out the door.
"Jenna wait come give me a hug goodbye."
"Ah, fine" I said letting out a huffy breath of air.
After hugging my mom, and her giving me one last warning about keeping my hair away from my friends, I finally made it out the door, and onto my front porch. Quickly stumbling down the stairs to go to my best friends house, I was stopped by my father.
"Ah, Jenna can you come here for a minute?" my dad asked.
Walking back up to the porch to ask my dad what he wanted?
"Well I just wanted to know where you were going?" he asked.
"Oh, ummm my friend Regina's" I said.
"Oh well am I giving you a ride, or are you going to walk?" he asked.
"Nah it's okay I'm gonna walk," I said hugging him bye. Walking back down the stairs, I was stopped yet again by my dad.
"Hey Jenna?" my dad called.
"Yeah dad?"
"You are really going to go to your friends right? Your not just going to go a party or something?"
"Ha, yeah dad I'm just going to Regina's" I chuckled as I started walking down my driveway.
"I love you"he called after me.
"Love you too" I called to him as I started shuffling down the road.
