FALLING APART

1. MONDAY - MESS

Rina POV.

"Eeu..why this air smells like a rotten shit? Or Is Drainage system broken?" Oh ! As usual my roommate has just farted, it's nothing new. Why did she eat peanut butter so much? Just to wake me up on Monday morning by her sweet-scented fart, that was so kind of her. It was a modern way to wake me up as my alarm had given upon me.

As per my morning routine, I took a cup of black coffee, so that i would be able to handle Jess's mood swings throughout the day as she was on her periods, my annoying roommate.

" Ain't our periods twining ? , Why i didn't get my period? Am i pregnant? Whoaa !! VICTORY !! ", I exclaimed like a silly teen girl who always desires to start a family with her dream's man.

" Shut the fuck up bitch ! Apocalypse would come if you get pregnant, Stop dreaming and let me sleep. " Jess annoyingly shouted at my voice from the room.
" Oh yeah ! You're right but you shouldn't have said that it in such a rude way, it hurts ! " I muttered under my breath.
I was looking at my phone, scrolling instagram - " Kardashians and jenners are so overrated man. These are the people who get what they want,i mean look at Kylie, she had wanted a butt and large lips, and she got it." I pouted on one of their posts.

While scrolling through memes i got a message, details about my Wednesday's train journey, i was moving back to my hometown - Goa.

4 years Back when i came to Delhi for my doctrate degree in psychology, that time was rough and tough man. It took me 2 weeks to find a place, until then i was just wandering over streets. Once i had slept near a stray dog and next day when i woke up i saw squad of dogs were accompanying me, and people were just throwing coins on us, like we are some beggars, well yeah at that time i can say i was no less than a beggar, but this is so harsh, they could have given me property papers, so now today they can get free mental therapy session of mine, anyways their loss, they've missed a chance to meet a beautiful-confident-bold-smart psychologist.
That's a lie by the way.

DING-DONG !!

" Uggh !! This Milkman, wait is it end of the month? Holy shit ! He must wants his payment. " I said in dismay.
" What if i tell him that he could get his money on Thursday and Till then I would have gone and then Jess will have to pay. " I pondered and a mischievous smile covered my face.
I went to open the door and a man with bruises on his face with moustache was standing there on a doormat, having a broad infamous smile on his face. Probably his cow hasn't kicked him like a last time, that's why he was smiling weirdly, may be , i don't know.

" Hey, Mam ! Take your milk...here it goes ! " He said with a great zeal.
I went inside in kitchen to put back the milk.
He shouted at my back, " ahh !! Its end of the month, mam."
" Yeah ! I know, so?" I replied him coldly.
" MONEY ! MONEY ! The only thing in the world that can turn any wicked human into a loyal dog." I muttered.
I saw bewildered look covering his face.
" If you aren't in good mood today, you can pay me tomorrow, not a big deal, I can waii-tt. " He chortled.
When i saw his uneven yellowish teeth with some brownish Thing over it, i felt nausea, i would have vomited over him if he didn't shut his mouth at that right Moment.
DISGUSTING !! . I literally dragged myself to the entrance - " Alright, jess will pay you on Thursday Morning." I said sternly. "Yeah ! It's totally fine, i should go now", He said and left hurriedly towards the stairs, again with the long broad smile on his face. " G-O-D, how someone can smile 24/7, may jaw cells would have died by this time if i have to smile like this, the whole freaking day. Do they get paid for this? Who knows!? Shh.." i mumbled.

5'o clock, Same Evening.

I got a call - it was from my Landlady, i literally screamed at that moment.
" H-Hello Mam, Good evening. " I stammered after picking up the call.
" As you're leaving on Wed, i want to check the condition of rooms so that i can give it to another girl on a rent. " She said sternly.
" Oh !! Yeah Alright, so come by tomorrow?" I said.
" No, i want to inspect right now." She retorted.
" Wh-at ? Now ? How ? " i was Bewildered, i didn't know what to say.
Because obviously our room was so much clean and tidy and fresh, i can't describe it more, man. Right at the main entrance of our flat, there are smelly stockings of jess, lying on a floor that she didn't even bother to pick. We are blessed with two lazy-ass cats, sleeping in a bed with jess, who hadn't taken shower since 15 days. And then that day, finally i realised i need to wash my bras, they hadn't seen the washing machine since eternity. We all were such a mess and here that our landlady, was going to visit our first class flat. I knew we were fucked.
" Jessss!!! She is coming, that evil lady is coming, please sway your lazy-ass from the bed, don't you get bored of watching the same vampire diaries for the 100th times, till now you even know all the shitty dialogues, girl. Get up ! " I bellowed at her.
" Dude !! What happened !! And who's coming?" She said while rubbing her eyes in grogginess.
" Oh man, you are such a dumb person I've ever seen in my life, our Landlady is coming to visit us as I'm leaving on wed, she needs to give my room to some other girl." I expounded.
" Oh..that's the case. I see why you are acting like a panicked horse. Well, i've to end this season, and you are the one who's leaving so you need to clean the stuff." She said while rolling her eyes.
" Ugh !! How rude. Alright I'll clean my stuff, you see yours. " I said sternly.
" WHATEVER. " she replied while laughing at some scenes on her laptop.
I did the all chores, of course hers too.

Bell rang.
I adjusted my dress, tucked my hair in a messy bun and took a deep breath before opening the door.
I opened up the door and greeted her with my broad smile.
" Welcome mam. " I said anxiously.
" Move ! " She shoved me to her left side.
"WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS BITCH".
