"Loueh, come on mate you need to do this," Zayn teased whilst stuffing a torn piece of paper from the magazine in Louis's face.

"I don't need to do anything Zayn, if I don't want to do it, especially if it involves spending the evening with a total stranger when I could be treating myself to Kafka's work."

"No come on, mate, see even Liam agrees," he replied, hands irrationally pointing to the brown haired boy sitting slumped into the seat, engulfed in his phone. "Right Liam?!"

The other boy gave no notice and proceeded to laugh at the funny cat videos he is so fond of watching.

"LIAM!" Zayn shrieked, throwing the nearest thing towards the boy which was thankfully a pillow.

Liam flinched and made eye contact, eyes displaying clear signs of confusion.

"What?" He asked distastefully.

"Lou needs to go out tonight, right?" Zayn whined with much enthusiasm.

"Yeah," Liam replied, boredom lacing his tone.

"Ha," Louis scoffed, "not convincing."

Zayn looked at him with guilt as if to convince him somehow.

Louis sighed.

"Look, mate, I love you and in no way am I offended that you both are missing game night again. It's just one night, viva la vida, I'll just read out here in the living room. It'll be good for me, to finally get some peace and quiet," Louis said, beckoning towards the book sprawled out on the coffee table. Zayn shook his head looking unconvinced.

"Louis, just try, I feel terrible for rain checking for the third week in a row. I'm so sorry okay and If you love me like you say you do, please go to the stranger hangout. You've been spending way too much time, holed up in this loft and the only time you talk to somebody is when it's necessary. I'm not even asking you to befriend them, look at the pamphlet, it says 'for a night' only. Louis this isn't healthy. I care for you and that's why I'm telling you, please go. If not for yourself, for me. Please."

He looked at the black haired boy with the dark prominent features. Did he really want to commit to a stupid hangout with a stranger he is probably never going to meet ever again in his life? No.

"Fine, I'll go," he said reluctantly.

"Yes, let's go Tommo!" Zayn exclaimed.

"If you promise to stop with this bullshit guiltiness you keep throwing at me. It's not your fault I am an anti-social, way too blunt for people's liking type of person," he continued, making sure the others heard the reason he was agreeing.

"Yeah Yeah okay okay I promise thanks, Tommo," Zayn replied, a smile etching his features.

"What? Attempting to fix my social life?" Louis laughed.

"Yeah, I guess" Zayn replied, humor lacing his tone.

"Okay," Louis replied and headed towards the closet.

Yes he did not admire the idea of spending the night in the company of an absolute stranger but he wasn't going to let the mere distaste of the idea preempt himself from looking presentable.

He picked out a green Adidas hoodie Liam had gotten him for his birthday last year and paired it with some black skinnies and white vans. He combed through his light brown hair and swamped it up onto the right side of his head knowing fully well that in no time it would be a disheveled mess again.

Louis stomped along the hallway to the main office. As he entered through the glass door, he met an elderly woman at the register. Unable to understand what he had to do he just fumbled with his hands, stuffing them in his pockets and bringing his left arm up to his shoulder to attempt to check the time. All in vain for the woman saw right through it.
