Chapter 1: Friendship or Loveship? That is the Question.

The next morning, Diamond and her friends were given a lift by Goliath and his wife. Not only providing hospitality to the heroes, but giving them a ride to the outskirts of the forest to get the crew there safely. Goliath Bears were indeed generous monsters to offer to be their personal chauffeurs after saving their little girl from a flamboyant Bandit Count and his band of motley bandits. Then again, if it wasn't for their combined efforts and determination, our heroes would've been sold off as slaves or became worm food for a Sand Worm. Diamond and Eccentro rode on Koda while Emerald and Gemma were on Delilah's back. Hermes, on the other hand, preferred to hover close by the group with Anna happily following him like a loyal puppy.

Diamond: :Holding up her phone in the air, pressing record on the screen as she sported a big grin on her face.: Hey Mom! It's me, Diamond! I decided to send a video message because if I typed it in the text, you might not imagine the whole picture-but as a picture is worth a thousand words, so is video footage!:Lowering the phone down as she leaned toward her right to get a good shot of Koda's head.: At this moment, me and my companions are getting a lift by a real life, talking bear-A Goliath Bear to be exact!:Turning her phone around to show Koda's family behind him.: A family of Goliath Bear. The one me and Uncle are riding on is Koda, behind us is Delilah and cutely following Hermes is Anna-whom we saved from some nasty bandits!:Bringing the phone screen back to her gaze, scratching the side of her cheek with a finger.: When we were on our way to the desert, we ran into these bandits and their boss who turned out to be a runaway Noble with mad sword skills who nearly tried to burn me and Uncle to a Crisp with a magic ring-he even set his sword on fire with it! You should've seen it!

Koda: My dear, why are you talking into that square stone for? Is there a spirit residing within it?:Turning his head slightly as he didn't want to turn away from the road.:

Diamond: Oh, I'm sorry, Koda. I was just making a video message for my mom.:Aiming the phone toward his face.: This is a phone and right now I'm recording our adventure-I've just sent her pictures of our journey so far. So I thought of sending her a first ever vlog of our progress. That way she'll see that we're doing okay.

Koda: I don't quite get it, but if it's that important and to let your mom know your doing well, then I won't stop you.

Diamond: Would you like to say a few words to her?

Koda: Hmm? You mean speak to the stone?:Tilting his head a little confused.:

Diamond: Yeah, don't be shy. Just say what comes to mind. ^_^

Koda: Hmmm~...Alright...Umm...Hello. Diamond's Mother. My name is Koda-I'm a Goliath Bear. I cannot thank your daughter and her friends for saving our precious Anna from the Bandits. You've raised her to be a strong and brave human.

Diamond: :Blushing a tad embarassed at his comment.: Well~I don't know about strong, but I was pretty brave when facing Vesh and so was Uncle.:Turning her phone around at Eccentro.:

Prince Eccentro: Uh!:Caught off guard when he was called "brave", his face reddening at the compliment.:

Diamond: If it wasn't for Uncle Eccentro jumping in with that sled to wonk the bandits', I'd been sliced in half like a pizza!

Prince Eccentro: Ahem....:He recollected himself as he fixed his hair a little, though it was a recording, he wanted to look as charming and composed should Hinata watches this later.: Well, of course! I wasn't just going to stand there and let my darling niece be turned to ribbons by those ruffians! I had to do something-so I grab what I could work with to help her out!:Gripping his fist into the air, putting on a serious face like he was on a movie set playing an action hero-a comical one.: I grabbed the sled, rushed right in and blam! Struck those goons where it hurt before they got the chance to harm Diamond!
