My Protector (Draco Malfoy x Reader)

Lockdown

You slowly woke up opening your eyes to find yourself cuddling Harry with your head on his chest, you must've rolled over in the middle of the night, you carefully got out of bed and noticed you had sweat pants on, you immediately started to panic, Harry knew, Harry knew about your wounds, you can't imagine how much you must've hurt him by not telling him

You made your way to the bathroom locking the door, you needed a minute to collect your thoughts

A few minutes later you heard a knock on the "Y/n?" It was Harry

"Yeah?" you said shakily

"I think we need to talk"

You slowly got up from where you were sitting on the floor and opened the door, Harry gently hugged you

You decided to go talk in the common room so you didn't wake Ron, you and Harry sat and talked for 2 hours, you both missed breakfast which didn't bother Harry and you haven't eaten anything in a day so you felt used to the emptiness

"I'm putting you under watch, Y/n"

"What are you talking about Harry?" You scoffed

"You won't be alone for more than 30 minutes if I can help it"

You didn't know what to say, and you knew you definitely couldn't object "But-"

"No buts, it's happening"

You simply nodded at Harry as he left the common room taking your finished homework with him to give to your professors

-2 weeks later-

It's been two weeks since Harry put you on watch, you haven't left his room alone, you still didn't go to any of your classes in that time period but Harry brought you your work everyday, and you still did your study dates in the library with Hermione. You haven't seen Draco in that time period and you knew it was for the better but it still couldn't help but hurt

Even on watch you found time to hurt yourself, cut, burn, scratch, any food Harry made you eat you threw it up, you were very careful not to show your wounds, you didn't know what Harry would do if he found out you could still self harm even under his watch

Your friends came to visit you everyday, you never let them in the room not wanting them to see you in your current state, you heard from Theo that Pansy punched Draco in the face, you knew it was coming, two days later you heard from Lena that Pansy had an all out fight with Draco in the cafeteria and Pansy let it slip that you were hurting yourself because of him, you obviously weren't there to see it but you heard Draco's reaction was a look of pure pain and fear like he was extremely worried about you yet he didn't come to check on you so he must not care that much

You heard from Hermione that they were doing a fall talent showcase, you've always been good at singing just like your mother and grandmother, you needed to get out of this room anyways, you've been writing in a journal since you've been trapped in Harry's room, maybe you could turn your entries into a song?

-At dinner time-

"What are you thinking about?" Harry asked as he put a bite of food into his mouth, you were eating in the garden with Harry, Ron, and Hermione because you couldn't bring yourself to enter the Great hall

You were zoned out thinking about the talent showcase "Just my song for the talent showcase"

"I see, and how's that coming along?"

"Pretty slow, I don't know if I want to go with the song I have in mind..." you said sadly as you took a bite of your apple, you were doing better at eating recently but Harry still stayed with you 30 minutes after eating to make sure you didn't throw it up

"I think if it helps you with what you're going through that you should just go for it" Harry said looking you in the eyes, everyone already knew what your song was about

"You just need to keep in mind that the showcase is in the Great hall, and well, he will be there" Hermione said concerned

You were trying to ignore that fact but it is inevitable that if you do this you have to face Draco

"I know Hermione, I think I'm ok with that" that was the first time you didn't lie, you did think you were ready to face Draco despite how hard the last two weeks have been

"We'll help you if you need it Y/n, I hope you know that" Ron said before stuffing a bite of food the size of Buckbeak in his mouth

"I do" you said laughing at Ron

After you finished eating you decided that you should have an actual conversation with your friends, you headed to the Owlery and sent a note to Pansy, Theo, Blaise , and Lena saying to meet you at the black lake in 40 minutes

40 minutes later everyone saw you sitting on a log at the end of the black lake and they ran over to you engulfing you in a giant hug

"Y/n! We were so worried about you!" Pansy said squeezing you tighter

"You can't just do that to us! We missed you so much" Theo said as he kissed the top of your head

"Y/n, you know you can come to us, you know we're here"

"Yeah, you can talk to us"

Blaise and Lena as they squeezed you before backing up and sitting on the ground across from you, Pansy sat on the right of you on the log and Theo on the left

You leaned your head on Theo's shoulder as Pansy held your hand that was closest to her

"I missed you guys, I'm so sorry for what input you all through" you said trying not to cry

"Y/n you have nothing to be sorry for, the way you feel is not your fault and you can't control it" Lena said moving closer to you and holding the hand that wasn't occupied

"It's okay that you needed time away from us, we are all close to Draco and that would've been too harmful for you to be around us"

"It was hard to stay away" you turned to Pansy "I missed your hype talks, they would always make me feel like a bad bitch" you turned to Theo "I missed your dumbass jokes and bear hugs" you turned to Blaise "I missed your sarcasm and out banter" you turned to Lena "I missed your sweet and chill energy" "I missed all of you, you all have something that makes me feel at home"

Everyone started tearing up, including you "Omg Blaise, Theo are you crying?" you sniffle laughed

"No it's lake mist in my eyes" Theo said quickly wiping his eyes with his hands

"The pain of how sappy that was hurt my soul, that's all" yup that's Blaise for ya

You all laughed drying your tears, you talked with them about how you've been doing and your plans to write a song about Draco for the talent showcase in hopes it would help you with healing and possibly make Draco forgive you, somehow a conversation about who's ranked where on your best friends list came up and you dodged the question

"Hey at least tell us who's in first" Blaise said eager to know, he was trying to start some shit, he knew he wasn't in first but Theo and Pansy didn't know they weren't either

"If I say it will you gits leave me alone"

"Yes" they all said in unison

"Fine, Harry"

"What!? I thought I was your top best friend" Pansy said turning away from you pouting

"Oh chill out Pansy, your in second, tied with Theo"

"You know what I'll take that" Theo said squeezing you with his arm that was around your waist

You continued talking for a while before you headed back to Harry's room hugging your friends goodbye at the door
