WAFET'S POV

"No way!" I squealed with my best friend Masey

"Yes way!"Masey squealed with a little laugh.

Masey was my best friend. I guess it's because we like practically the same things, we have the same birthdays and we were both adopted. This Saturday, the day after tomorrow, was our birthday, July 13. We were both so excited especially how her parents and practically mine now, are hosting the party at her mansion!

"I'm so excited! We are having our sweet 16!" I said.

"I know right! Sweet 16s are when the best happens, like when a person finds out they are really a mermaid or just a magical creature," Masey said. Masey loves magic. I mean like she loves doing magic tricks with cards, ropes, and just about anything.

I laughed. "I think you read too much fantasies,"

Masey pouted, "says the girl who's in love with water. Oh water this water that," she says mimicking me.

"So what are we going to wear?" I asked, changing the subject.

"Something special," Masey said.

"It's just a party, nothing special, we are just getting older every year, no biggie," I said.

"No biggie?!? It's our sweet 16, we can finally experience our true magical identity."

I laughed, oh gosh, sometimes Masey can be real umm how should we put it, unrealistic.

"I was kidding," I said, "Why don't we go shopping now?"

"Sure!"

Masey's adoptive parents are like super rich, so she can practically get anything she wants. I know, unfair but as Rick Riordan says 'fairness isn't that everyone gets the same, it's when everyone gets what they need.' My adoptive parents are pretty nice and even treat me like their own daughter but I sometimes do wish we were as rich as Masey.

"Wafet, let's go," Masey said.

"Ok," I agreed

We got to the big shopping mall and decided to go in some of our favourite shops and bought some nice summer dresses. We decided to go to Starbucks and get some cold drinks and decided to go back to her house for a sleepover. I texted my parents and told them that I will stay at Masey's house for the night and they immediately texted back saying that it was ok. I have been going to Masey's house for sleepovers since we were young so my parents as well as hers were pretty used to it and since I have been there for such a long time, I always leave an extra pair of outfit and PJ's there.

When we go to her house, the house was pretty empty. We went into her room and sat all our bags down.

"I'm so tired," said Wafet.

"I know right, let's watch a movie and go to sleep,"

It was currently 8pm.

We decided to watch Divergent. It's a nice action/romantic movie.

By the time we were finished, it was already in the late 10pm. So after we both took a shower and put on our PJs it was already 11:30.

"Goodnight, Wafet."
