Was it stupid of Skeppy to invite his demonic companion to watch him play Minecraft with his friends?
At the time, it didn't seem like such a bad idea. In fact, the idea of Bad watching and learning from his gameplay made his stomach flip in all sorts of directions. The weird spasming in his abdomen only increased when the demon pulled up a seat beside him, and due to their massive size difference, Bad was able to lean over and prop his head on Skeppy while he played.
Neither said a word to each other since Skeppy entered a Discord call with his friends. There were times where Bad had to clamp a hand over his mouth to stop himself from scolding his friends whenever they cursed, but being right next to each other, Skeppy wasn't spared from some sort of punishment for his adult language.
Once or twice, Skeppy had let a few inappropriate words slip out, and whenever such happened Bad silently tickled the other until his squeals and laughter silenced the small group of friends.
Vurb—who wasn't a part of their shared Minecraft server and instead joined the call to simply poke fun at Skeppy—laughed into his mic and asked, "Skeppy, you good?"
"He's probably watching Punz's Minecraft speedrun attempts," Puffy snickered.
"Hey!"
"Nah. If he was watching Punz's content, he'd be sobbing hysterically, not laughing," Vurb yawned and tapped an index finger against his keyboard. In Bad's opinion, the clicking of keys was surprisingly pleasant.
"Sobbing over how awesome I am, thank you," Punz retorted with a sassy snap of his fingers. "Skeppy wishes his content could compare to mine."
Skeppy rolled his eyes. "Why would I cry over trash?"
"I don't know. Why do you cry over your own content?" Punz snapped back. Skeppy could hear the grin in the other's voice, and while they were only messing with each other, Bad didn't fully understand what was going on.
No longer leaning smugly on the mortal, Bad straightened his posture and peered back down at the mortal with a curious glint in his eyes. Careful as to not trigger Skeppy's sensitive mic, he quietly asked, "Sgeppy?"
Skeppy tilted his head to meet the demon's gaze, his own bundle of curious thoughts visibly scurrying back and forth in his eyes.
"Do you like your videos?"
Skeppy nodded.
"And you know they're entertaining and totally awesome, right?"
Skeppy nodded a second time, though a look of confusion was plastered to his face.
Bad smiled and leaned down to wrap his arms around the mortal. Skeppy was perplexed, but he didn't reject the hug, opting to return it with a small pat on the demon's lower back.
"Just making sure!"
"Sheesh, you don't need to worry, Bad. Your insecurities aren't contagious," Skeppy teased with his face in the other's chest.
Unamused by Skeppy's joke, Bad took advantage of their closeness and pinched the mortal's sides. The aforementioned mortal let out a shriek and pulled away.
"Ow, you jerk! Are you trying to give me a bruise?"
"First of all, you look good in blue so stop complaining," Bad scoffed, failing to acknowledge the dark blush consuming his friend's face nor the absence of chatter in the call. "Second, that's revenge for that awful joke you just made."
