Day 1 (Introduction Included)

I wake up in my apartment after a taxing day at work, I get up slowly. I guess it's time for another long day at work. I sigh. I look through the cupboards and fridge to find not even a speck of coffee. Since I couldn't get any coffee. I go to take a shower to be at least awake enough to make breakfast and so your coworkers don't think badly of me.

I yawn.

While I'm walking to the bathroom, I forgot to grab a towel. But I don't mind. I've been living on my own now, so I end up just walking back to my room with the dirty clothes in hand.

"I wonder if Artem will be there today. It would be a shame if I couldn't see them." I end up saying out loud without realizing it.

THREE HOURS LATER

"Hello?" my phone randomly rang as soon as I got to work. I answered it before checking who it was. That started to be something I did daily.

While I was waiting for a reply, I started wondering who it was. So I checked the screen.

I was curious now. In the past couple of months, I've ended up getting more involved with him. To the point, I ended up developing... something for him. I can't let him know and risk my job. I barely have enough to pay for my apartment and necessities at the moment.

"....hello."

he's finally answered after about a minute!

"would you mind coming by my office before you leave today? There might be a new case for you. I would like to discuss it with you in private." Artem replied back to himself.

Hmm, I wonder what the case is. Though I can't really decline, it's from Artem, after all.

"Sure, I'll come by around 7-9 pm then? will you still be at work?" I said, not too sure when he usually leaves.

"....."

Complete silence again.

"......"

"........"

I hear things moving around. It sounds like he's grabbing something. Maybe I should... hang up?

"Alright, see you then y/n. do well with your current case, don't mess it up to it's almost finished!"

You hear him chuckle. You can't help but smile.

SIX HOURS LATER

At last, work finished, I say my goodbyes and go to get my dinner. Although today instead of taking it home to eat like usual, I will be eating back at Themis Law Firm, the place I somehow got a job at.

While I'm leaving, I see a figure walk by. Handsome body structure, beautiful face, it must be Artem. I wave to him, but he doesn't notice.

Once I finished the food, I head over to Artem's office. Opening the door I see him with his head down. It seems he's resting. I turn around while closing the dorm. I hear a "wait!"

I look back and see him now sitting upright. He looks tired, and his face was a light shade of red.

"Y/n? you're late," he says while his face stays a lightish red.

"I'm so sorry, there were a lot of cars on the road while I was getting lunch, so I was delayed by a bit!"

"...understood.. now..." he starts to look down.

"there's... no.. new case.." he starts to walk over to me.

"the thing is y/n ... I think i-"

My face turns red. Is he going to confess right now?? does he like me back?!
