❝ dad, why did mom leave ❞❝ no matter how bad she wanted to, she couldn't stay any longer. but she watches us from stars ❞
" what was she like "he took a minute to answer, reality still causing him pain. she was taken too young, and way too soon. she didn't even get the chance to meet her own daughter, they didn't get the chance to love their own child. he would do anything just to see you one more time.
" they were.....extraordinary "
june 4, 2012
the summer of june 2012, the trees were filled with luscious green leaves, the cherry blossoms projecting a pink imagine on the sky as the sun hit it. the wind blew a slight breeze, enough for the air to be cool and refreshing. the grass's pigmentation also had fully recovered. it was overall a beautiful scenery.
there sat a girl on a park bench, her hair flowing beautifully in the breeze. their skin glowing from the sun. looking down at her textbook, studying for their upcoming exams. and a boy, playing volleyball with his team. smiles and laughs broke out occasionally, as the girl concentrated on their studies.

.
.your finger glided across the paper with grace as you read the words at the same speed. the impact of a ball hitting someone's palm bounced into your eyes as you tried hard to focus. you exhaled irritatedly, putting in your earphones and playing music to drown out the sound.
it worked, you could no longer here the annoying 'smack!'. you reached down for your water bottle to take a sip to quench your thirst. as you drank from the bottle you see a volleyball heading straight for you like a comet. you dodged out of the way, dropping the bottle that was once in your grasp and spilling it all over your textbook.
you looked in horror, you were screwed. the exam was only 3 days away. you looked up in anger at the contributor. you moved your bag from out of your walk way. you stood up and stomped towards the males responsible.
they all froze in fear. a boy with green eyes, and hair that stuck up from the sides widened his eyes and quickly turned around to leave the situation. soon all of the males followed him, except one. a boy with perfectly proportioned features. he had an undercut with the bottom that looked to be his natural hair, and the top a sunflower tint.
sweat dripped down the sides of his face and his legs quacked. you stood in front of him, his height unexpectedly larger than predicted. you started yelling at the boy, poking him in his chest while you spoke
" CAN YOU WATCH WHERE YOUR SPIKING. I'M ASSUMING BY THOSE JERSEYS YOU HAVE ON YOU'RE APART OF A TEAM, SHOULDN'T YOU BE ABLE TO AIM PROPERLY "
he was absolutely speechless. not only did you basically tell him that he shouldn't be on a team, but you weren't a fan girl. you probably didn't even know who he was. inside he felt a little flutter from his heart, that his first female interaction other than a fan girl, was normal.
well.... not normal, but at least it wasn't someone squealing and asking for a picture. he began to grow curious if you knew of his identity. he looked back to see his teammates on a bench talking, trying to avoid any eye contact with you. he looked back at you, then at the grass.
you were blatantly confused, you weren't micro sized. he suddenly looked back up, and just simply smirked. you took a step back, his entire aura changing in an instant. he looked back once again and stuck out his hands, asking for a ball. someone who looked exactly like him, you assumed his twin, threw him one. he looked back at you and asked,
" pick something in this area, and i'll hit it "
you squinted your eyes and stuck your head slightly forward. what was the point of this nonsense? you looked around until you found a target, pointing to a small juice can on top of a trash bin that was at least 30 feet away.
he looked at the can and walked backwards. you watched as he took steps back only to run forward. he threw the ball in the air and jumped. it was as though he was flying. your eyes grew wide as you saw him in the air, soaring like a bird. he hit the ball with exorbitant strength. you felt pressure bounce off the ball to you and a whiplash of wind.
you looked where you stated your target, and to your surprise.... it was gone. the volleyball was sitting on the bin, covering the hole acting as a lid. you stood still for a moment than looked over to the egg yolk who was smirking cockily. you tilted your head and stared.
" was that supposed to impress me ? " you asked with genuineness
" was that just supposed to make me forget that you ruined my chance of passing !?! "
he stood dumbfounded. he listened to you scold him yet again. his attempts to prove you wrong had absolutely no effect on you. his brother and friends packed their things and left him. he stood still while his eyes were blank, staring into absolute nothing.
" YOU'RE GOING TO HELP ME STUDY SINCE YOU RUINED MY ONLY CHANCE OF PASSING. BE HERE IN THIS PARK BY 2PM TOMORROW. "
you harshly turned around and gathered your belongings. you tossed your bag strap onto your shoulder and carried your ruined textbook in your arm. you left the boy there, lost in his thoughts. you were different, a good different. not like every obsessed girl, but you have your own mind. you didn't hesitate to stand up to him. he enjoyed you yelling at him, even though the situation scared him nearly until he urinated himself, he still enjoyed it.
he would count down the seconds until your next reunion.
